Dear , I’d like to request your approval to attend the 2012 Loss Prevention Conference in Atlanta. This is the SMC³ conference exclusively for transportation claims professionals. This year, the conference is co-located with 2012 Jump Start – which means I’ll have the opportunity to connect with even more supply chain professionals than at any previous Loss Prevention Conference.
The agenda is a full 2 ½ days, with 8 targeted sessions dedicated to claims/loss prevention, 3 breakout sessions of my choice and a half-day of general sessions that include topics like “Capacity Shifts & Concerns”, “Technology & Innovation” and “Impact of Megaships on Global Supply Chains”.
In addition to the educational and networking value of this event, I‘ll receive up to 20 credit hours toward my CCP certification for attending the conference and/or have the opportunity to prepare and test for certification.
It’s more important than ever for me to be aware of loss prevention trends and my attendance will help us do just that. I’ll have direct access to industry thought-leaders and the chance to network and share ideas with other loss prevention professionals, plus a unique opportunity to become certified within the industry.
I’ve broken down the approximate cost of my attendance at the 2012 Loss Prevention Conference from Sunday to Wednesday, January 15-18, 2012 below:
Airfare: $400
Hotel (3 nights at $125/night): $372
Conference: $525 (Early Bird Pricing Ends November 8th)
CCPAC Primer & Exam: $400 *optional expense
Total: $1697*including optional CCPAC primer & exam Early Bird pricing ends November 8th and SMC³ has negotiated a discounted rate of $124/night at the Renaissance Concourse Hotel if I book my hotel early. Thank you for your attention to this request.
Best Regards,
