January 20-22, 2017 STATE INDOOR WINTER GAMES, MARIETTA

February 25, 2017 POLAR PLUNGE, LAKE LANIER
This event has participants “plunge” into the freezing cold waters of Lake Lanier all to benefit the athletes of SOGA. Volunteers are needed to help with registration, set up, games and activities, attending the course, etc.
April 28-29, 2017 OVER THE EDGE, ATLANTA
Brave souls will climb out over the edge of one of Atlanta’s tallest buildings in the name of SOGA. Volunteers are needed to help with the day’s activities – and we promise not to send you “Over the Edge!”
May 19-21, 2017 STATE SUMMER GAMES, EMORY UNIVERSITY, ATLANTA
We need Fans in the Stands volunteers for Summer Games! Over 2,000 SOGA athletes come to Emory University to compete in athletics, aquatics, flag football, gymnastics, soccer, table tennis, tennis, and volleyball. Come cheer them on!

August 3, 2017 DUCK PLUCK TAGGING PARTY, ATLANTA
Challenge: over 10,000 rubber ducks need to be tagged with a racing number – do you accept this challenge?
August 11, 2017 DUCK PLUCK, ATLANTA
Thousands will try their luck, and hope that their duck gets plucked! Volunteers are needed at Post Chastain Apartments to help with the plucking, and help scoop those ducks out of the water after the event. All volunteers must be 18 or older to volunteer.
August 18-20, 2017 STATE MASTER’S BOWLING TOURNAMENT, WARNER ROBINS
Love bowling? We have a whole weekend of bowling for you and we need your help! Volunteers are needed to help assist athletes on bowling lanes and hand out awards afterwards. To apply please visit: http://sogeorgia.vsyshost.com and click on 2017 Masters Bowling Tournament.
October 13-15, 2017 STATE FALL GAMES, GAINESVILLE

October 13-15, 2017 STATE HORSE SHOW, GAINESVILLE
The same weekend as Fall Games, we also have our State Horse Show. Over 200 athletes compete in different equestrian competitions. Come volunteer at the Horse Show even if you have little to no experience with Horses. We’ll show you all you need to know. SOGA will once again proudly host the annual Bob Busse Golf Tournament, held at Cherokee Town and Country Club. Volunteers must be 21 or older to volunteer.
