Arriving and Departing Issues
There are no main issues about arriving and departing Kos International Airport
Trans. Alt is 5000 ft, T/L given by the Atc,
LGKO has no ILS
LGKO has VOR (KOS 109.00) and NDB (KOS 311)
The main arrival points in KOS from the North and NW is KOPAR and LARKI
Depending on the winds arriving rw14 is quite easy. Arriving rw 32 need a 12 DME Arc 6 miles outbound of KOPAR bringing to MORIX intersection (168 outbound radial of KOS VOR).
Departing from rw14 is straight, but departing from rw32 needs a quite long backtrack from holding point B.
