(Nov. 4, 2014) – Lake Arbor Automotive & Truck, whose do-the-right-thing slogan has earned the repair shop multiple awards over the years, has added to its list of distinctions with a national award from Motor Age Magazine The trade journal, one of the most prestigious in its category, named Lake Arbor Auto to its list of 10 “Top Shops” for 2014, based on Lake Arbor Auto’s emphasis on employee training, keeping up with changes within the industry, and its ability to serve customers in the most satisfactory manner. Lake Arbor Auto will be featured in the December edition of Motor Age. “Years ago, I decided to simplify my business model by instructing employees to adhere to one bottom-line policy: We do the right thing for customers, every time!” said Lake Arbor Auto owner Dana TePoel. “When customers learned about our policy, good things happened naturally!” Lake Arbor Auto also applies the do-the-right-thing policy to its vendor relations and employee relations. At one point, between 2009 and 2012, Lake Arbor Auto won seven awards, including the Bill Daniels Ethics in Business Award, the Better Business Bureau’s Torch Award for Marketplace Trust, and the Golden Ethics Award. TePoel said he was particularly proud of the LAA employees whose professional conduct and focus on their ethical responsibilities made this latest award from Motor Age possible. “It’s an honor to know that we stand out among so many high-quality repair shops across the country,” he said.
