| Linda Jackson Straus AFS Scholarship
This scholarship is created in memory of Linda Straus, who dedicated so much of her life to building a legacy of intercultural learning through the AFS program in the Oxford community. The purpose of the scholarship is to continue the AFS mission by offering financial assistance to a Talawanda student who plans to study abroad with AFS.
A sub-committee appointed by Oxford AFS sitting board of directors will be the entity in charge of making decisions about the allocation and distribution of AFS funds for this scholarship. This scholarship is completely funded through efforts by the AFS Oxford Chapter and will be awarded directly to the applicant separate from any monies awarded through AFS-USA. Applicant Eligibility
Basis of the Award
Amount of the Scholarship for 2014-15 Up to $2,500.00
The scholarship will be applied directly to the student’s AFS Account as a program fee reduction for their study abroad experience with the program.
