This glass offers prototypical blowdown operation and will scale well with boilers of 10" in dia. and larger. It has been developed for the 2-1/2” and 3-3/4” scale engines but will be happy on any 1-1/2” scale Pacific, Hudson or Northern. Glass length shown in photo is 5" long, but this assembly is available in 4”, 5”, or 6” lengths and is made in both right-hand and left-hand models. Specify backhead thread of either 1/8” or ¼” IPS. Glass blowdown valve is not included, but hole for fitting is tapped 5/16” MTP. All models/glass lengths are the same price. Provided with top /bottom unions.

Our new Blowdown Valves are lost wax castings of silicon bronze. The inlet connection is threaded 1/8" male pipe . Hardware is stainless steel.

TENDERS
We currently offer Riveted tender kits in 5 different models, including, in order of size, Fitchburg-Northern, Allen Mogul/10-Wheeler/American(also suitable for the Little engines Swithcher and Mogul), Little engines Atlantic, Little Engines Pacific, and the large tender for large Hudsons/Pacifics/Texas Class engines. Specifications for these engines appear on their own page. These tenders are all CNC shaped and punched for all rivet holes. Tanks are fabricated from 16 ga. cold rolled steel, and the bottom is punched from 11 ga. cold rolled steel. Frame kits are also available. All tenders are available ready-to-run upon special order, as are the frames. Completed tenders are delivered coated on the inside and the exterior primed.
