PREMIERE EPISODE 1: "Incognito in Escondito"

Los Angeles, CA

Airs Wednesday, July 2 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT

In the first premiere episode, Richman reveals the following Los Angeles hidden gems:



  • The Escondite, which lies behind a hidden door, is a dive bar located on the edge of Skid Row and Little Tokyo (Skidrokio). Amongst the many burger creations is the off-menu breakfast sandwich known as Godzilla Destroys Skidrokio. Richman heads to the kitchen to watch Chef Brian Traynam in action and see if he will share the secret to his amazing dish. 

  • Greenspan’s Grilled Cheese is Melrose’s cheesiest gem. Chef Eric Greenspan dishes out only the best in grilled cheese including The Champ. While this sandwich might be a local legend, Richman has inside knowledge about a new off-menu challenger: The Inside Out.

  • Cha Cha Chili is an Asian/Mexican fusion restaurant eight miles north of Los Angeles in the Chinese business district of Alhambra. Here, Richman uncovers a secret burrito known as the Lomo Burrito, which is a Peruvian-Korean-Mexican experiment chock full of secrets that the foodie host tries to uncover from Chef Gavin Cha.

  • Jitlada is an unassuming Thai eatery in East Hollywood. While its strip mall exterior may deter some, this local-favorite’s menu boasts 348 traditional Thai items. Richman, however, is looking for the one dish that is missing from the menu: the Jazz Burger. Chef Jazz Singsanong takes him through the makings of this spicy burger. 


PREMIERE EPISODE 2: “Chi-Town Franken-Sandwich”

Chicago, IL

Airs Wednesday, July 2 at 9:30 p.m. ET/PT

In the second premiere episode, Richman heads to Chicago to share these Chi-Town secrets: 



  • Scofflaw is a prohibition-era-inspired hideout known for its rather unique menu. While any dish is a winning pick, there is one so secret you not only need to order it by name, but you must also be one of the first five to say it! After learning that only five Guapichosa sandwiches are offered each day, the foodie host hustles to the kitchen to reserve one from Chef Mickey Neely.

  • Phil’s Last Stand is a hot dog joint in the Ukrainian Village. Richman gets an inside look from Chef Bob Corbett on an off-menu Fried Shrimp Po-Boy, learning about this secret NOLA staple with its Midwestern twist.

  • A Tavola is an Italian restaurant with the appearance of a residential house in West Town. After finally locating this unassuming dining establishment, Chef Dan Bocik lets Richman in on an off-menu dish known as the Italian Meat & Potatoes – a three-pound rib eye served alongside a generous portion of house-made gnocchi.

  • La Sirena Clandestina is a South American dive in the Fulton Market District. While there, Richman gets a taste of the off-menu Size Me Up – a hodgepodge of meats specially selected by Chef John Manion. Richman’s personal platter consists of short rib, skirt steak, sweetbreads, linguica sausage and chicken hearts – all grilled to perfection. 


EPISODE 3: “Made Man Meals”

Las Vegas, NV

Airs Wednesday, July 9 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT

Richman heads to Las Vegas to share these Sin City secret-eats:



  • Capo’s Italian Steakhouse is a classy Sahara Avenue establishment. With a secret entrance, this restaurant emits an authentic Chicago-mafia approach to old-world American-Italian food. To welcome Richman to the family, the chef makes him the off-menu dish: The Leftovers.

  • Park on Fremont is a local hotspot for modern comfort food with rather unique ambiance. Guided only by a neon parking sign, Richman is on the hunt for a hidden lobster slider that’s sure to impress.

  • Richman’s next stop is a secluded pizzeria known simply as….The Pizzeria. It is so secret that it resides inside an unmarked hallway within the swanky Cosmopolitan Hotel. Its pizza chef, a native New Yorker, shows Richman how to make their classic white pizza.

  • Jamms Restaurant is a Westside brunch spot that serves fresh twists on homey breakfast and lunch classics. In addition to the usual offerings, Jamms boasts a secret sandwich, the Jamminator, which combines two of Jamms favorites – the Reuben omelet and the French toast. 


EPISODE 4: “Golden Gate Loco Moco”

San Francisco, CA

Airs Wednesday, July 9 at 9:30 p.m. ET/PT

Richman heads to San Francisco to reveal these Californian secret-eats:



  • The Boxing Room is a casual Louisiana-inspired joint in the Hayes Valley area. Modern interpretations of New Orleans classics are offered, but one hometown favorite is kept off the menu only for those in-the-know: the French Fry Po’boy.  

  • Namu Gaji is located in the Mission district. Richman knows of the Loco Moco, which takes the classic Hawaiian comfort food and ups the ante with some Korean influence…and isn’t on the menu.

  • A curbside operation, Little Skillet is a window in the SoMa district alleyway. This off-the-radar joint cranks out ingenious soul food and waffles including its secret specialty: the Eggs McMahon

  • Starbelly is a fun café and bar in the Castro known for its fresh Californian comfort food. Richman’s mission is to get his hands on a legendary burger called the Doc’s Way Burger, which is a combination of two favorite menu items.  


EPISODE 5: “The Food Abides”

Honolulu, HI

Airs Wednesday, July 16 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT

Richman heads to the Aloha state to share these Hawaiian secret-eats:



  • Aiea Bowl is a bowling alley and restaurant combined. The restaurant’s menu features an ever-changing “Tasty Tuesday” prix fixe dinner. Luckily for Richman, it’s Tuesday, and he is treated to one of the courses on the menu for the night: braised short ribs.

  • In downtown Honolulu, The Pig & The Lady is a local favorite and former pop-up restaurant. Being in-the-know, Richman orders an off-menu sandwich that is so monstrous it’s named The Mushroom Godzilla.

  • In Chinatown, a New Jersey transplant is serving up authentic New York-style pizza in Irish bar, J.J. Dolan’s. Richman heads there to scope out a secret pizza that pays homage to all of its creator’s influences: The Drunken Duck Pizza.

  • Town is a farm-to-table restaurant in a neighborhood known as Kaimuki. This modern culinary haven features local and organic ingredients, as well as an unknown specialty that features a once illegal Hawai’ian food: Pa’i’ai.  


EPISODE 6: “Knot Your Average Food”

New Orleans, LA

Airs Wednesday, July 16 at 9:30 p.m. ET/PT

Richman heads to New Orleans to share these Big Easy secret-eats:



  • Parkway Bakery & Tavern is a po'boy institution in the heart of Mid-city. This New Orleans restaurant harbors the off-menu dish: The BBQ Surf and Turf Po'Boy.

  • Pizza Delicious is an authentic New York-style pizza joint in the Bywater District. This was once a pop-up pizzeria, but is now known for cranking out some of New Orleans' best pizzas and pastas. And their hidden specialties are the Garlic Knot-chos.

  • Bayou Hot Wings is one of Richman’s favorite wing spots in the country. He pays them a visit for their secret Pepper Jelly Wings, a delicacy that combines Bayou's already addicting hot wings and a traditional New Orleans staple. 

  • McClure's Barbecue is a Magazine Street barbecue mecca. In addition to their standard BBQ favorites, McClure's offers an only-sometimes-available smoked redfish on the half shell


EPISODE 7: “Tweet Secrets”

Nashville, TN

Airs Wednesday, July 23 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT

Richman heads to Nashville to uncover the following secret-eats from the Country Music Capital of the World:



  • Pepperfire is an East Nashville restaurant known for serving up Nashville-style hot chicken. For those in-the-know, Pepperfire also creates an off-menu spin on this Nashville staple unlike anything ever seen before: The Apple Jack

  • Gabby's Burgers & Fries is a Wedgewood-Houston burger joint. While this restaurant might be home to some of the best burgers in Nashville, Richman pays them a visit for an unknown hot dog: The Big CC Dog

  • Midtown hotspot Mason's Southern Provisions offers their take on classic Southern fare. Richman knows about a hidden dessert that is only advertised to those who follow the chef on social media: the Liquid Nitrogen Ice Cream Soda

  • In Rolling Mill Hill, Pinewood Social is loaded with an espresso bar, restaurant, bowling alley and even a karaoke room. But Richman heads there for only one thing: off-menu fried chicken and waffles


EPISODE 8: “Down & Dirty in Atlanta”

Atlanta, GA

Airs Wednesday, July 30 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT

Richman heads to Atlanta to reveal these Georgian secret-eats:



  • Southeast Atlanta is an area not usually visited by tourists. Within this oft-forgotten neighborhood is a hidden BBQ gem, Daddy D’z BBQ, and their popular specialty is the Que Wrap.

  • Bad Dog Taqueria is a taco hotspot in Emory Village frequented by locals and college students alike. Alongside its lineup of Mexican/Asian fusion-style menu items is a secret taco that satisfies every comfort food craving: the Mac Daddy Taco

  • While Richman is in-the-know about a weekend-only rotating secret menu at Two Urban Licks, its location is so hidden, he and his crew are barely able to find it. When they finally do, Richman is treated to the dish of the day: Wood Fired Georgia Quail

  • Yeah! Burger is a local burger joint with a very secret menu item. Richman heads to the kitchen to see how the Dirty South Burger is made. 


EPISODE 9: “Harbor Hideaway & Lobster Garage”

Boston, MA

Airs Wednesday, August 6 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT

Richman travels to Boston to uncover the following New England secret-eats:



  • Wan Convenience Store is a local market around the corner from a residential block. Not only is this location so secret that it is only spread by word-of-mouth, it’s also home to the top-secret Hush sandwich, which changes from customer to customer depending on the owner’s mood, creative impulse and the customer’s energy.

  • A seemingly abandoned shipyard is actually part of an art exhibit, which gives way to a hidden meat pie palace, KO Pies. While KO Pies has five varieties of handheld meat-filled pastries, the star player is the lamb shank pie, a delicacy using lamb flown in special from Australia for maximum authenticity.

  • Alive & Kicking Lobsters is a lobster operation with a residential home cover. Its off-the-menu item is the Lobster On Lobster, a freshly cooked lobster served alongside Alive & Kicking’s award-winning fresh lobster salad.

  • JM Curley is a downtown trendy burger joint named after a former Boston mayor. While the burgers get most of the attention, behind a curtain and an accompanying sign that reads, “Adults Only,” is a fancy steakhouse called Bogie’s Place. This top-secret steakhouse, named after Humphrey Bogart himself, only seats 20. Richman learns how to make their signature dish: a 20-ounce steak with roasted bone marrow and foie gras butter.


EPISODE 10: “Shaken, Not Stirred”

Milwaukee, WI

Airs Wednesday, August 13 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT

Richman travels to Wisconsin to reveal these following Midwest secret-eats:

  • Wisconsin Cheese Mart is a local market/restaurant hybrid that supplies more Wisconsin cheese than anywhere else in the world. Those deemed worthy can make their own Cheese Mart Sweep, an ever changing, off-menu grilled cheese creation composed of any combination of as many as five cheeses found in the market.

  • On Milwaukee's East Side is Ardent, a local eatery serving up gourmet dishes with all-American flair. After-hours on Friday and Saturday nights, Ardent turns into an underground ramen shop with one item on the menu: Tonkotsu Ramen

  • In an unassuming office building is a Pakistani restaurant, Shah Jee. Richman heads to the kitchen where the chef shows him the makings of their famous cream-less chicken masala

  • Known as Safe House, this clandestine restaurant was established in 1966 at the height of the cold war and James Bond. Richman ventures to the kitchen of this spy-themed joint – known on the outside as "International Exports, Ltd" – to uncover the Spyburger


EPISODE 11: “Behind the Bookcase”

Austin, TX

Airs Wednesday, August 20 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT

Richman travels to Austin, TX to uncover the following secret-eats from the live music capital of the world:



  • Though Frank is a local hotspot known for hot dogs, artisan sausages, and all of the fixins’, Richman is looking for the star of Frank’s exclusive and mostly unknown family-and-friends menu: Frank’s Breakfast.

  • The Firehouse Hostel has been converted from Austin’s oldest-standing firehouse and contains a hidden speakeasy. Richman finds a delicious sandwich called The Lieutenant waiting for him behind a normal-looking bookcase.

  • Casino El Camino is an eclectic local dive bar known for good company, lots of fun and burgers so legendary that the bartenders even garnish the Bloody Mary with a slider. However, Richman is looking for the off-menu Tony Randall, a mammoth burger that combines just about everything the kitchen has to offer.

  • Around the corner from the University of Texas is a parking lot that only contains food trucks. Amongst the crowd is The Mighty Cone. This food truck favorite has an unknown item that Richman has yet to encounter: The Monster.


EPISODE 12: “Magic School Bus”

Portland, OR

Airs Wednesday, August 27 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT

Richman heads to Portland to reveal these Oregonian secret-eats:



  • Burnside Brewing Company is a local brewery known for their perfect pairings of homemade beers and delicious bar food. Richman is on the hunt for a hidden burger so epic, it's known only as the Ultimate Burger

  • In the industrial district is an unassuming food cart tucked away in the midst of storage facilities and seemingly abandoned buildings: The Fried Onion. Richman knows about a secret customer-created sandwich that goes by the name of The Moussa

  • Grilled Cheese Grill is a unique food stand that takes its customers back to a taste of their childhood. In addition to a dining room fashioned out of a school bus and grilled cheeses that make everyone feel like a kid at heart, there is an off-menu grilled cheese Richman must try: The Alyson

  • Kenny & Zuke's Delicatessen is a downtown establishment with a lineup of classic deli favorites. The Jeremy, however, is an unknown item that combines two of Kenny & Zuke’s most decadent items: the mac and cheese, and the house-made pastrami. 


EPISODE 13: “Secret Super Bowl Snacks”

New York, NY

Airs Wednesday, September 3 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT

Richman heads to New York during the Super Bowl to reveal these super-sized city secret-eats:



  • Greenwich Village bar, Wogie’s is a Philadelphia Eagles joint known for pairing fans’ love for the Eagles with regional Philadelphia favorites including cheesesteaks and soft pretzels. However, one secret game-day treat combines them both: the pretzel roll Philly cheesesteak. Former Eagles player, DeSean Jackson joins Richman for this Philly favorite.

  • In Union Square, Little Town is a bar frequented by true Denver Bronco fans. On Richman’s radar is an off-menu dessert dished out to those in-the-know: the carnival-style funnel cake.

  • Manny’s On Second is a Cleveland Browns bar on the Upper East Side. Known only to the biggest Browns fans, this bar also boasts an unknown Browns-inspired munch: Polish Boy Totchos.

  • Overlook is a Midtown East sanctuary for Chicago Bears fans. To satiate the hungriest Bears enthusiast, there exists a secret Chicago Italian beef sandwich. Joined by Chicago Bears tight end Martellus Bennett and his older brother, Seattle Seahawks defensive lineman Michael Bennett, the trio tastes the succulent beef sandwich and deems it a flavor touchdown.
