KGA Use ofDistrictPersonalProperty andEquipmentKGA
Requests for use of district equipment by individuals or outside organizations shall be submitted to the superintendent. Any request shall be grantedor denied pursuant to guidelines for using equipment developed by the administratorandapproved by the board. The superintendentmay establisha depositforuseofschoolequipmentbefore it is removed fromthe schoolgrounds or otherdistrict property. Thedeposit willbepaid to thesuperintendentorclerk ofthe board and will be refunded when the equipment is returned
in working order.
Lost,Stolen, orDamaged Property or Equipment No request for use of school equipment shall be granted until
the requestorexecutesause agreementspecifying such person will agreeto pay the district fair market value for any equipment that has been lost, stolen,orhas suffered irreparable damage while in the requestor's possession. For the pur-poses of this policy, "irreparable damage" shall include any damage severe enoughthat thecosttorepairsuchequipmentwouldbemore than thefair market valueof the equipment. If schoolequipment is returneddamaged beyon d
normal wearandtear of acceptableuse, the requestor shallberesponsiblefor the costto repair suchequipment. Thedistrict may also require thepurchaseofinsurance
PersonalUse Nodistrict equipmentshall beusedby staff for personal reasonsat
school or awayfromits designatedstation.
