Once this article hit our office was flooded with hundreds of requests to participate, attend and volunteer at these fossil events. Host Marianne Aleardi attends a fossil dig day event to promote South Jersey. During this fossil dig day event at the fossil park site in Mantua Marianne was able to film 200 7^th grade guests enjoying this educational experience on site for an upcoming episode. Host RICHARD WIESE of BORN TO EXPLORE and his team was welcomed 5-8-15 by Deputy Mayor Sharon Lawrence and Dr. Lacovara to the fossil site (Inversand) in Mantua, NJ. This nationally televised Emmy Award-winning travel show BORN TO EXPLORE is hosted by world-class explorer Richard Wiese.  In this episode, Dr. Lacovara and the Born to Explore crew joined forces with Microsoft for a live video uplink with a 5^th grade class in Harlem, New York. Students learned about the last days of the dinosaurs and about the amazing fossil treasures of Mantua Township. The shoot occurred Friday, May 8^th at the Mantua fossil site. The show is scheduled to air on ABC Saturday morning in October 2015. Keep a look out for my alert when the airing date is released.
