Why methodology
In every piece of communication, the first thing we need to assume is that everybody has a bias (pov). We should try to be unbiased in our work. The first thing that we need to accept and acknowledge is that we are not neutral and if we do not declare our biases, readers will be confused while reading it. It makes our writing less solid and less clear to the readers and more open to criticism.
While writing a newspaper article, most don't declare their bias and most people see their inclination or bias.
*I would have to employ the idea of feminism and also…
There are many branches of feminism, psychoanalytic feminism or…
When writing a research proposal, the implicit bias that we have has to be declared using one of the methodology. We declare our bias because we accept that we have that bias and we are not apologetic about it, and also we can defend it whenever we are required to.
Terry Eglton also talked about the need of the methodology - in 1985, he says that there is no non political theory, when anyone says that they don't have a methodology and they are just writing something that is neutral but this actually boasters a mainstream idea, they make it sound like it is a universal theory/truth. His conclusion states- “Every literary theory…prime minister and the monarch”.(screenshot)
Note some highlighted parts from his theory, taken in the screenshot.
