A recent joy

Recently I had a very nice conversation with a Turkish shopkeeper. In the middle of the conversation, he casually referred to me as a mushrik. That is a person who commits shirk (this means to ascribe partners to God, it is basically polytheism and is the worst sin in Islam). I gently told him that I did not like that and that I was not a polytheist. I added that I was a monotheist and that the trinity does not make me a polytheist and that I believed in one God At first he was really taken aback. He thought about it for a while and then apologized later. I felt he was very sincere. This interaction gave me joy because I had the courage to respond gently to him and because he took it so well.
A challenge ahead

It is obviously quite a challenge to explain the Christian faith. On a personal note I am challenged to get all my work done well.
