AB - ABSTRACT: A volcanogenic massive sulfide copper and gold deposit was selected as a case in this paper. Drill hole data were analyzed to find statistical grade distribution and to understand the behavior of regionalized variables. Scatter diagrams of log Au-log Ag, log Au-Fe, log Au-S and log Au-log Hg showed medium positive correlation and there is no correlation between copper versus silver and copper versus gold. Frequency distribution of Cu, Fe and S values are normal while those for Au, Ag and Hg are lognormal. Using geostatistics as a tool a preliminary anisotropy and preferential direction for continuity were found and their respective variograms were fitted to run a kriging to estimate grade and its variance for unsampled places, and reserves calculations.

AB - ABSTRACT: Two specimens collected in Turonian beds from Colombia are referred to a new genus and species, Bachea huilensis, of the suborder Tselfatioidei. Their attribution to a familial level requires a revision of the suborder.
