  4. Presently working on a Wi-Fi and Sonet installation strategy for Army Institute of Technology (Pune).

PricewaterhouseCoopers (P) Ltd. (since December 2002)

  1. Project to study the feasibility of deploying a captive call center for the TAJ group of hotels, the costs involved, the technology to be used in the call center and the technology for all India communications. Last worked on Phase – II of the study, to evaluate the best location to set up the call center.

Advisory IT Architect.
Currently in Pune with IGA as Advisory IT Architect. Have worked on projects like capacity planning, Business continuity planning and Domestic WAN redesign. My primary aim is to create solutions based on the NDD Models deployed by IBM and to adapt the local conditions and requirements as per NDD requirements. The work is detailed from designing the network, deciding routing policies, decing the equipment to be used and creating the bill of works. Presentation to the client is a primary part of my profile and as such I have to posess godd communication skills. My current architectural domains include MPLS, ETHoS, EoSDH, ATM and Serial Links.

Joined as "Technical Services Manager" and assigned to be Service Delivery Manager for Service Management Problem and Change EMEA.

The work started with transitioning the entire Problem and Change processes into India from EMEA with IBM EMEA as an external customer. This was the largest account for GSDC India and I was the SDM for the largest Sub Account.

The entire process was ITIL compliant and the process adherence was mapped by a joint committee in India and EMEA.

Appointed as Program Manager (Service Delivery Head) for Deutsche Bank. Assigned to Mumbai to evaluate the problems being faced at Mumbai core site and to find solutions. Structured Helpdesk as per ITIL norms to streamline IT incidents communication. Brought in Discipline so as to increase productivity. Reduced costs of hiring and brought in better quality of people. Have been consistently delivering Service Levels at 99.5%. Implemented rewards program to improve moral and to boost productivity. Presently looking at project deployment for Datacenter at new Branch at Parel. As well as spearheading the XP migration project. Have a team of 110 Engineer reporting to me from all over India. Joined as Deputy Operations Manager (GL). Handling the Technical Aspect of the pilot batch after intensive training which includes training on voice and Accent and hardcore technical issues. Also coordinating with various Microsoft officials on product update handling, skill updates and process related information. Reporting to VP Process along with operations managers.
Was the Shift Manager while managing a personal team of 45 personnel. Operating as the Technical Mentor for the entire floor of 350 people and advising / assisting them if required during escalations and high-end troubleshooting on Microsoft WiFi equipment.

Description of the Company: - It is a 240 seater outbound sales based International call center based on Stratasoft as the dialer and Nortel Meridian 11-C PABX, Passport 7480 and relevant LAN. Clients include Orange (UK), AT&T (US) etc.
Description of duties: -

  1. Management

    1. Design and implement the call center at the conception stage.

    2. Decide the International Carrier for IPLC connectivity between Houston and New Bombay.

    3. Decide the Local PSTN carrier in Houston based on the voice minutes rate.

    4. Interact with VSNL for IPLC termination between Prabhadevi and Mahape in Mumbai for local loop.

    5. Interact with clients for new campaigns and report on performance of present campaigns.

    6. Assign duties to the MIS teams and consolidate information to be handed over to operations and Sr. management.

    7. Handle daily rostering of technical staff and assign contingency duties to tech and MIS staff.

Description of the organisation:- Working with the United Nations mission to Congo (MONUC) as Radio Technician. Was the Second in Charge (2IC) for Mbandaka Sector Headquarter Comms. Division. Worked to establish the sector headquarter and maintain constant Liaison with the Mission HQ and the Deployed teams in the field.
Description of duties: -

  1. Management

    1. Design the sector HQ and the communications networks for the entire Sector. Covered and area of more than 5000 square kilometers on wireless and Satellite.

    2. Report daily requirements to the Mission HQ and assign responsibilities to the teams.

    3. Maintain a full countrywide VSAT Comms Division from Mbandaka of over 52 locations with 2 techs. per location.

    4. Establish UN standard protocol for communication from HQ to personnel and 6 Sigma procedures.

    5. Co-ordinate between Military forces, Military observers and aviation department for flight requirements and supply sorties.

    6. Write out technical evaluation of various Comms equipment vendors like Barrett Communications, Cisco, Motorola and Lucent.

  2. Technical

    1. Deploy VHF repeaters for the sector HQ (Motorola GR 300 and GR 500)

    2. Troubleshoot EFData VSAT equipment and deploy DAMA and PAMA systems across the sector.

    3. Establish a Linux based proxy chaining system to reduce bandwidth congestion over the VSAT network.

    4. Deploy MD-110 over Cisco MC3810 for a VoFR based voice network.

    5. Deploy a Cisco aeronet based long range Ethernet solution for interconnecting various UN agencies in Mbandaka to the Sector HQ.

    6. Establish a HF based Vehicle tracking system using Barrett HF radio and in built GPS receivers along with a GIS system based on Access and Visual Basic.
