Site link to both Word and PDF versions of the Overseas Reference List
FCO Website (Directory > UK Embassies Overseas)
Please note that the list may take quite awhile to download from these sites.
In order to update Post information electronically, you must access the Word version of the list on the above site only (please note that the PDF (Adobe) version should not be used for this purpose). Find relevant entry or entries in the current edition, highlight, copy the section and paste into a new Word document then save. As and when you amend the entry please ensure that you always use “Track Changes” by selecting Tools then Track Changes → Highlight Changes and then make sure all three boxes are ticked. This will allow the Editor to spot every single amendment easily.
Once you have made all your amendments you can submit the entry to the Editor, Ron Somm, via e-mail: Ron.Somm@fco.gov.uk
-
Please note that only the relevant electronic entry/entries should be sent and not the entire list.
Before sending check that:
-
first names of officers are included, as we are trying to make the list more consistent;
-
all FTN codes are included;
-
all Airtech numbers are included;
-
national dialling codes are included in telephone & fax numbers;
-
all office hours are in GMT.
It is important that Management Officers notify the Editor of any confirmed new Posts that will be opening within the next 6 month period. Although telephone/fax numbers & office hours may not be known for a while yet, please still include information about a new Post (i.e. official name, address if known, roughly when the Post will be opening etc).
Please note that all non-resident representatives should also check all entries in their remit.
