Power Packs Project (PPP) is seeking a highly self-motivated, results driven, and strong relational Affiliate Specialist to aid in the development and growth of the Affiliate Programs.


About Power Packs
Power Packs Project (PPP) is a growing Non-Profit organization that provides weekend nutrition and education to over 1,7oo at risk families weekly. The goal of the program is to have children return to school well fed and ready to learn and to empower parents with the skills they need to stretch their food dollars and provide healthy meals for their children.



The Affiliate Specialist will serve as the main communication link between Power Packs Headquarters and Power Pack Affiliates aiding in the strategic growth of the program by providing training and support in marketing, fundraising, and operations.
Summary of Essential Job Responsibilities:

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Provide initial and ongoing training for Affiliate non-profit Program Director and volunteers

  • Organize Affiliate training events

  • Enhance communication and build relationships between the Affiliate and the assigned school representatives and community partners.    

  • Build ongoing relationship with the Affiliate Program Director through monthly contact to provide support and to share best practice and standards.

  • Assist Affiliates in developing a fundraising and marketing plan

  • Provide support for the growth of each program

  • Serve as Liaison for Affiliate Program

  • Conduct onsite meetings to each Affiliate three times per year, Sept at launch, Feb for follow up, and May to conduct training for ongoing development and goal setting

  • Develop recipes to be sent with the educational information to each Affiliate for the Power Pack

  • Ensure collection of data

  • Work closely with the Distribution Manager and communicate best practices and standards

    • Share/learn best practices

    • Share compliance deadlines and training

    • Brand protection – share brand protection guidelines

    • Social Media guidelines

    • Food Sourcing process - Review procurement of food and identify if there are inefficiencies or other providers

  • Volunteer Recruitment – review the number of volunteers needed by the Affiliate and help develop a recruiting plan

  • Support various board initiatives as they relate to the Affiliates

  • Attends and participates in general staff, management, board and committee meetings as required

  • Performs other duties as assigned


Abilities required:


  • Bachelor’s Degree with experience in marketing, development, and project management.

  • Highly self-motivated and driven to perform duties independently, adaptable to change, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven success in goal achievement and following through on tasks with a ‘can-do’ attitude.


  • Excellent time management skills, ability to meet deadlines while balancing daily activities and tasks.
  • Demonstrated leadership capacity and sound judgment showing ability to be creative and innovative in problem solving

  • Strong organizational skills; to multitask; and ability to prioritize.


  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills; to work effectively independently and as a team.

  • Attention to detail.

  • Demonstrates positive and collaborative approach to work.

  • Demonstrates proficiency with MSWord, Excel, and Power Point.

  • Mission focused and driven meeting the vision of Power Packs Project


Work Details

15-20 hours/week
