TPT (Tec-Pro-Time) is the practical software from KOMET JEL^® used for selecting optimum standard (drilling) thread milling cutters depending on the material and thread required as well as for generating the suitable CNC program. Potential customers all over the world can use the software for free online at http://tpt.kometgroup.com providing they have a computer with internet access available.

There is now a new TPT version available for smartphones: the respective apps are available for download – free of charge – for iPhone and iPad in the APPLE app store and for android devices in the Google Play Store. They can be found easily using the following keywords: KOMET, JEL, drill thread milling cutters, thread milling cutters, tool selection, CNC programming, machining tools.

The TPT software has a logical structure and the application is supported by graphics. Once the machining task has been entered, the user is shown all the suitable JEL^® standard tools. In addition, the software provides machining time and cutting values for the respective tool. Users can choose between metric and imperial units. The respective CNC programs are also generated automatically – for Fanuc, Sinumerik, Mazatrol, UniPro, Philips and Heidenhain depending on requirements. Users can also choose between centre-point path or external path programming. If the CNC program is required as a PDF file, the user can have this sent to his e-mail address. The source data remain on the server, only user data are outputted.

TPT is available in English, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese and Italian.
