APPENDIX E: Reporting Functional Requirements
The objectives of the reporting component are to provide the following: an integrated EIS reporting environment for all College EIS systems, access to reporting tools based on user permissions, access to reporting tools based on user roles, client-based reporting tools, web-based reporting tools, data warehousing (if applicable), integration with document imaging/workflow solutions. The reporting component must also provide comprehensive training opportunities for functional users such that each department contains one or more functional users complete “train the trainer” programs for all reporting tools, and can perform the following: declare one or more “trainers” as reporting team leads. Lastly, the reporting component must complete reporting operations using pre-packaged (“canned”) reports, complete reporting operations using user-built reports, and schedule, run, archive, and print reports locally.
