RESOURCE DIRECTORY FOR STUDENTS WHO ARE DEAF/HARD OF HEARING
October 15, 2015

The organizations and agencies listed in this resource directory provide services to students who are deaf or hard of hearing. They are listed alphabetically under headings that describe their primary service or region. The abbreviation "V" refers to a voice phone number. The "TTY" is used to identify phone numbers that are accessible by a telecommunications device for the deaf or text telephone. "V/TTY" indicates that both options are available. The “VP” indicates a videophone number.

The New Jersey Relay Service enables individuals, deaf or hearing, to call anyone on the telephone. By dialing a toll free number, callers connect with an AT&T Communications Assistant (CA) who will place the call. The CA will explain the system if requested. Calls are billed at the same rate as regular telephone calls.
New Jersey Residents: For NJ Relay Service, voice and TTY users dial 711.
The 711 number is now the only number you need to put you in touch with AT&T Relay!
Out of State Residents: Call your in-state relay operator and give him/her the NJ number.
