Rocurement notice

1. 
   The Government of Cape Verde has received a loan from Japan International Cooperation Agency towards the cost of the cost of Power Transmission and Distribution System Development Project in Six Islands. It is intended that part of the proceeds of this Loan will be applied to eligible payments under the contract resulting from the bidding for which this prequalification is conducted.
   

2. 
   The General Directorate for Energy now intends to prequalify contractors and/or firms for Design, Supply, Installation, Testing and Maintenance of SCADA/EMS/DMS System, RTU/Telecom and Training in three Cabo Verde Islands (Santiago, São Vicente and Sal). The works to be undertaken by the successful bidder involve the complete design, manufacture, supply, testing in works, packaging for export, shipping, transport, delivery to site, unloading at site, erection, painting, commissioning and putting into normal operation, performance and reliability testing on completion, training of operating personnel, and maintenance for the defect’s period of all related work associated.

   Prequalification will be conducted through procedures in accordance with the applicable Guidelines for Procurement under Japanese ODA Loans, and is open to all Applicants from eligible source countries, as defined in the Loan Agreement.

   Interested eligible Applicants may obtain further information from and inspect the Prequalification Documents at the Ministry of Tourism, Energy and Industry / General Directorate of Energy/Management Unit for Special Projects, (address below) from 9.00am to 4.00 pm.

   A complete set of the prequalification document in English may be purchased by interested Applicants (a) on the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of One hundred (100) Euro.
