ITA provides analysis, planning, training, security, marine, logistics, and engineering support services.  Our clients include the U.S. Government, nongovernmental organizations and commercial clients conducting operations worldwide



ITA is seeking potential candidates to support Africa Contingency Operations Training and Assistance program. The purpose of the ACOTA Program is to enhance the capacity of qualified African Nations to participate in internationally mandated peace support operations (PSO) and contingency operations in Africa. This program provides field training for African peacekeepers plus staff training and exercises for battalion, brigade, and multinational force headquarters personnel.

Program Manager

Responsibilities: The Program Manager is responsible for directing all aspects of contracted services that allow the organization to successfully operate the planning, supervision, and execution of the U.S. Minimum of 10 years military operations and training experience (or civilian equivalent) required with a strong background in overseas program operations focused on training local national military personnel and units at the battalion or brigade level. Minimum of three to five years of increasingly responsible experience as a PM in the field of military training or in a related area. Familiar with standard PM concepts, practices, and procedures within the field of training foreign military and PKO personnel and organizations.

Deputy Program Manager

Responsibilities: The Deputy Program Manager (DPM) assists the Program Manager in directing all aspects of contracted services that allow the organization to successfully operate the planning, supervision, and execution of the U.S. Department of State’s complex, multifaceted African Contingency Operations Training Assistance (ACOTA) Program in Africa in accordance with contracted task orders. Minimum of 10 years military operations and training (or civilian equivalent) experience required with a strong background in overseas program operations focused on training local national military personnel and units at the battalion or brigade level. Minimum of three to five years of increasingly responsible experience as a Program Manager of Project Manager in the field of military training or in a related field.

Country Manager

Responsibilities: The Country Manager (CM) will be the Program Manager’s primary point of contact for contract execution and coordination of the U.S. Department of State’s complex, multifaceted African Contingency Operations Training Assistance (ACOTA) Program in a designated African country. Minimum of 10 years military operations and training experience (or civilian equivalent) required with a strong background in overseas program operations. Minimum of three to five years of increasingly responsible experience as a Program Manager or Project Manager in the field of military training or in a related area.

Senior PSO Staff Trainer

Responsibilities: The Senior PSO Staff Trainer will be the contracted Country Manger’s principal Peacekeeping Operations (PKO) staff instructor for African military units receiving U.S. Department of State’s African Contingency Operations Training Assistance (ACOTA) Program training. Minimum of five years of U.S. military operations and training experience required. The Senior PSO Staff Trainer should be a subject matter expert in at least one Combat Arms, Combat Service, or Combat Service Support U.S. Military Occupational Specialty, Branch, of Functional Area. Staff experience at battalion or brigade level is required.

PSO Staff Trainer

Responsibilities: PSO Staff Trainers will instruct and supervise PKO unit staff operations training in African for African company, battalion and brigade sized units deploying in PKOs. Minimum of five years of U.S. military operations and training experience required. The Senior PSO Staff Trainer should be a subject matter expert in at least one Combat Arms, Combat Service, or Combat Service Support U.S. Military Occupational Specialty, Branch, or Functional Area. Staff experience at battalion or brigade level is required.

Senior PSO Soldiers Skills Trainer

Responsibilities: The Senior PSO Soldier Skills Trainer shall supervise the instruction of Peacekeeping Operations (PKO) solider skills to African military units receiving U.S. Department of State’s African Contingency Operations Training Assistance (ACOTA) Program training. Minimum of ten years of U.S. military operations and training experience (or civilian equivalent) in a Combat Arms Specialty required with strong background in overseas program operations focused on training local national military personnel and units preferred. Senior PSO Skills Trainers should be subject matter experts in at least one Combat Arms U.S. Military Operational Specialty, Branch, or Functional area.

PSO Soldiers Skill Trainer

Responsibilities: Peace Support Operations (PSO) Soldier Skills Trainer shall provide Peacekeeping Operations (PKO) solider skills instruction to African military units receiving U.S. Department of State’s African Contingency Operations Training Assistance (ACOTA) Program training. Minimum of five years of U.S. military operations and training experience in a Combat Arms Specialty required with a strong background in OCONUS program operations focused on training local national military personnel and units preferred. PSO Soldier Skills Trainers should be subject matter experts in at least one Combat Arms U.S. Military Occupational Security, Branch, or Functional Area.

PSO Specialty Trainer

Responsibilities: Peace Support Operations (PSO) Specialty Trainers shall provide Peacekeeping Operations (PKO) soldier skill specialty instruction to African military units receiving U.S. Department of State’s African Contingency Operations Training Assistance (ACOTA) Program training. Minimum of five years of U.S. military operations and training experience in a Combat Arms, Combat Service, or Combat Service Support Specialty appropriate for the skills being taught.

PSO Senior Subject Matter Expert

Responsibilities: Peace Support Operations (PSO) Senior Subject Matter Experts (SME) shall provide Peacekeeping Operations (PKO) soldier skills specialty instruction to individuals and African military units receiving U.S. Department of State’s African Contingency Operations Training Assistance (ACOTA) Program training. Minimum of five years of U.S. military or civilian experience in their area of expertise.

Data Base Administrator

Responsibilities: Develops data for PSO simulations and assists in the operation of Military Training Simulations in Africa in support of individuals and African military units receiving U.S. Department of State’s African Contingency Operations Training Assistance (ACOTA) Program training. A minimum of two year database administration experience; or equivalent education, coursework, or certification in Information systems is required. A comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Operating systems focused on Microsoft Exchange 2003, computer hardware installation, repair, testing, and troubleshooting is required. Experience with operating Military Battle Simulations used in a training environment.

Systems Administrator

Responsibilities: Administers the IT systems in operating Military Training Simulations in African in support of individuals and African military units receiving U.S. Department of State’s African Contingency Operations Training Assistance (ACOTA) Program Training. A minimum of three years IT related experience; or equivalent education, coursework, or certification in Information systems is required. A comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Operating systems focused on Microsoft Exchange 2003, computer hardware installation, repair, testing, and troubleshooting is required.

IT Specialist

Responsibilities: Responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining operating system workstations and servers, including web servers, in support of business processing requirements. A minimum of three years IT and/or business administration related experience; or equivalent education, coursework, or certification in Information systems is required. A comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Operations systems focused on Microsoft Exchange 2003, computer hardware installation, repair, testing, and troubleshooting is required. Knowledge of Network Operating Systems or specified software. In-depth knowledge of data communications, traffic and/or software applications within area of IT operations.

Logistics Manager

Responsibilities: Responsible for establishing a methodology and practices for effective and best value procurement and delivery of equipment and supplies for the U.S. Department of State’s African Contingency Operations Training Assistance (ACOTA) Program. Six to ten years of proven experience in acquisition logistics management and project life support. Working knowledge and/or familiarity with DOS procedures and guidelines, Air, Rail, Sea and Depot operations, and/or other applicable Transportation management policies and procedures.

Logistics Specialist

Responsibilities: Performs management of stock record/warehouse functions pertaining to receipt, storage, warehousing, issue and shipping; and maintains equipment records and parts. At least three years of international logistics experience. Former Senior NCO or civilian equivalent experience as a Property Accounting Technician with experience in retail supply activity functions, storage and warehouse functions.

Supply Technician

Responsibilities: Performs warehousing duties which typically involve receiving, unloading, checking, storing, testing, issuing, and delivery. At least three years of warehouse or logistics experience related to overseas shipping. Three to five years Former Senior NCO or civilian equivalent experience as a Property Accounting Technician with experience in retail supply activity functions, storage and warehouse functions.

Translator

Responsibilities: Translates and produces a variety of general and technical documents, materials and script from English to designated language for team and project staff; provides simultaneous interpretations during formal presentations at conferences and meetings on and off sites without the aid of electronic dictionaries or electronic translators. Fluent in relevant language.
