From 1994-2004 Paul Smith’s College students experienced French culture and cuisine as participants in a culinary internship program that was centered in Entrains at the “Maison des Adirondacks.” Since 2012 The Left Bank Café at 36 Broadway has been the “headquarters” for the Saranac Lake Sister Cities chapter where members enjoy regional French suppers, wine tastings, cooking classes and celebrations of the French holidays. French students from Saranac Lake High School and Paul Smith’s College are honorary members and have enjoyed practicing their language skills and learning about French and Canadian traditions at Sister Cities events.
