Sports At The Beach <> July 8 – 10 (Friday – Sunday) www.SportsAtTheBeach.com Fields: 22518 Lewes Georgetown Hwy., Georgetown DE 19947 HOTEL: HOLIDAY INN <> Tel: 302-747-5050 561 North Dupont Hwy., Dover, DE $128 per night + tax Two Options: 2-Night Stay: Check-In on Friday, July 8 <> Check-Out on Sunday, July 10 3-Night Stay: Check-In on Thursday, July 7 <> Check-Out Sunday, July 10 The 3-night stay is suggested since we will be playing on Friday. If you are not staying on Thursday, July 7th – player will need to leave early AM Friday The game-schedule will be released on or about Tuesday, July 5th. To Reserve a room call 302-747-5050 and let them know you are part of a group: ATHLETICS This Holiday Inn is located approximately 35 miles North of the baseball facility. Room rate is ONLY $128 a night (+ tax). As always, players & parents can stay anywhere they choose, but this is the hotel with a Group Rate for our team. Most hotels closer to the baseball facility are $310+ a night … it is summer and the entire area is a “vacation destination”. For baseball tournaments I try to always pick a Holiday Inn. This Holiday Inn is located North of the baseball facility so it is 35 miles closer to New York, all of which is closer as related to our commute to-and-from Delaware. If you are going to make an extended vacation out of this trip, I suggest you stay in Ocean City Maryland (about 50 miles South) or surrounding areas such as Dover or Dewey. I am familiar with Ocean City and it is a great vacation destination but it gets very crowded during the summer. 5 Games Guaranteed; 2 on Friday / 2 on Saturday / 1-4 games on Sunday. Sunday is playoffs (single elimination, seeded tournament bracket) Friday Games will be played throughout the day. All teams play 2 games on Friday, this said, teams may have to play in the late morning / early afternoon. The schedule will be released on or about Tuesday, July 5. We will need players to be at the field on Friday morning; Players that need a ride because parents are working can ride with me, or I can arrange for another parent to take some players if I don’t have room in my truck. > Let me know if your son needs a ride because you are coming on Friday after work. At Disney End of Season Baseball Tournament @ Disney’s ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex Baseball Tournament: September 2 - September 5, 2016 Check In Sept 1 <> Check Out Sept 5 4-night stay. website: www.espnwwos.com Parents If we get at least 9 players committed to go I will register for this tournament. I will send out a text on May 1 to ALL PARENTS requesting a YES or NO. I will register for the tournament and let everyone know on May 2 to call Disney and book your stay. Limited Availability so WE MUST DECIDE on May 1st and book rooms by May 2nd.
MAY 1st IS THE DEADLINE TO DECIDE IF THE TEAM WILL BE GOING. If we do this tournament we will not go to Cal Ripken in August. Schedule
