-Former pitching coach of Canadian Junior National Team

-Coached for the Edmonton Cracker Cats in the Northern League 2007

-Worked as a scout for the Atlanta Braves

-Attended Spring Training as a coach with the Toronto Blue Jays in 2002

- Attended Spring Training as a coach with the Pittsburgh Pirates in 2005

-Currently a member of the High Performance Committee, Senior National Team Pitching Coach and a talent evaluator for Baseball Canada

-Facilitator in the National Coaching Certification Program with personal Level I, II, III & IV Certification

-Current Pitching Coach for the National Team since 2005

-Current Canadian scout for the Houston Astros

-Current Pitching Coach for the Edmonton Capitals of the North American Baseball League

Mike Johnson – Baseball Coach

-Graduated from Salisbury Composite High School in Sherwood Park

-Selected by Toronto in 17th round of June 1993 draft

-Made MLB debut with the Baltimore Orioles April 6, 1997 at Texas (4.0 IP relief)

-Signed with Montreal as free agent Feb. 5, 2004

-Part of third-ever all-Canadian pitching duel July 1, 2000, against Florida’s Ryan Dempster

-Represented Canada in the World Baseball Classic and pitched against Team USA at the Rogers Centre

-Member of the 2008 Canadian Olympic team

-Lead the Taiwan Professional Baseball League with 22 wins in 2008 and was awarded the MVP of the league

-Played for the Edmonton Capitals in 2009
