Job Description: The Windows Server/Systems/DevOps Engineer is responsible for supporting equipment in a Microsoft Windows environment, from design through implementation and support. You will manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure. Install, configure, test, and maintain operating systems, application software, and system management tools and ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability.
Day to Day:
• Responsible for supporting equipment in a Microsoft Windows environment, from design through implementation and support.
• Perform a wide variety of tasks including installation, configuration and upgrading of workstations, servers, and related hardware and software in a LAN, WAN and standalone environment.
• Provide investigation, diagnostic testing, troubleshooting, and repair/resolution of system, hardware, software and infrastructure.
• Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure.
• Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools.
• Ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability.
• Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with developers to implement those fixes.
• Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies.
• Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency.?br/Provide 2nd and rd level support.

Remediations of operating systems

• Working with other departments independently and putting remediation exclusions in place

Day in the Life: First week will be intros to the scope of project, intro to the tools, where they are at today, education on how they operate. Get them setup on regular calls with the security team, get into slack channel internally around this work, relief from other works, become fluent in managing assets in tenable consoles and setinal1, pulling vulnerability reports, when one is identified, work with their team on remediations. Onboarding new assets into the environment and then testing Pivoting to different assets and knowing when it's necessary to add other test parameters. Add new ones and eliminate others. Testing parameters for various assets are not all one in the same. Have enough knowledge to start it and bring them something to have a conversation about it.
Must Haves:
• MUST have experience with VMware Horizon
•
2-3 years of experience as a Server Windows Engineer
• Must provide your own laptop, need to have VMware Horizon, solid internet, and a headset.

PowerShell Scripting
• Automation experience
• Remediation of operating systems
•
PowerShell
• Any automation tool - ansible preferred
Nice to Haves:
• Avid
• Tenable agent or Sentinel
• Adobe
• Media / Broadcasting / Post-Production experience is highly preferred
