The Lumber River Quartet

The Lumber River Quartet are a group of men called by God to share the message of Jesus Christ through the powerful medium of music. Glenn, Ronald, Greg and Les have a commitment to the Lord to make Him first and foremost in their lives and at their concerts. The Quartet’s southern gospel harmonies, lively performances, and humor have been an encouragement and blessing to people everywhere they have been. Spreading the Good News throughout the US and Canada, the quartet have sung in churches, auditoriums, gospel singing cruises and are frequently featured on TV and radio.

Ronald Freeman is the tenor for Lumber River and has been singing music all his life. Ronald is married and has two children. He also has two grandchildren, Tori and Camden. They all live in Lexington, NC. Ronald is a Native American and comes from The Lumbee Tribe of NC. He will bless your heart with his unique style of singing.

Glenn West is the baritone singer for the group and has been a member since Lumber River started in 1983. He plays the piano and also works the office for the group. He writes some of the songs we sing and in his time at home teaches young kids and older folks how to play piano. He is married to Carolyn West and they have a daughter named Anna.

Greg Justice sings the lead for the group. Greg has been blessed with a great range to sing lead, baritone and the bass part. Greg worked for Bill Gaither for four years an has a long background in southern gospel music. He has two Children, Cynthia and Nathaniel. He has five grandchildren, Parker, Kara, Emmett, Henry and Grayson! Greg lives in Middletown, Ohio with his family.

Les Gant is the bass singer for us. Les is the first bass singer that Glenn sang with in a quartet way back before there was a Lumber River Quartet. Les has a smooth bass voice and will charm you with his mountain humor. He and his family live in Marion, NC which is located in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains.

It is Lumber Rivers desire to see people come to know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. We have a verse from the bible that is our motto. John 12:32 says, And I, If I be lifted up from the Earth, will draw all men unto me. That is our goal, to lift Him up that people may come to know Him as Savior!
