Identity protection is one of the reasons for having anonymous internet protection. This happens mostly when one doesn't want to be recognized, even if the activity big conducted is legal but not questionable. This is very important for the introvert's person due to the level of social safety which they need. It also relates to the tastes and preferences of an individual when one is involved in groups online but doesn't want to be recognized, thus hiding their identity. Another reason for doing so is personal harassment. This relates to the idea that there is a lot of expression of people’s ideas on online platforms that are noted to be negative at ties, thus mocking an individual (Bailey, 2015).

Online harassment can manifest in several ways, such as doxing. This is explained as a situation where someone releases personal information online where even death threats can be directed to a person. Also, swatting and even acts of revenge pornography where a person releases the data abo a person’s such as the intimate videos and photos this privacy violation. The third reason for having anonymity in internet access is the sensitivity issues which one tries to having access, confidentially thus preferring online anonymity. This can be achieved by VPN protection, browsing using Tor, not using social accounts when logging websites, and many more ways (Chauhan & Panda, 2015).
