Objectives: Get the students acquainted with the topic.
Time: 10 min
Materials: Handout 2A
Procedure:
It makes student's discuss questions with classmates page 55.
It introduces the unit question: How has feelings affected our lives?
It gives students a moment to think about their answer.
It writes Advantages and disadvantages of mixed feelings at the top of two sheets of poster paper.
It elicits students` ideas and write them in the correct categories then posts the lists to refer to later in the unit.
Practice new type of task and the strategies for it
Objective: Write down the impact of the daily occasions on feelings
Material: Handout 4 page 60
Time:5 minutes
Procedure:
Teacher checks students opinions about impact of the daily occasions on feelings and suggests to practice this type of task;
Teacher brings Handout 4 in three copies and sticks them in different parts of classroom`s wall;
Students will write down the their feelings and compare with their partner
Teacher asks students to choose the appropriate answer for their written work from the paragraphs they read and choose the best one.
Teacher checks the ss answers and provides feedback if necessary.

Teacher checks ss understanding facilitating some answers for tips and using mixed feelings in the daily occasions ; provides feedback and provides instructions for self study.
