AIM

To familiarize participants with economics and public finance concepts as applicable at the operational and implementation level


SCOPE

  1. To enhance participants’ understanding of the theoretical framework of economics and finance for better public service management.

  2. To enhance knowledge of public financial management and accounting systems in general and the role of Principal Accounting Officers in particular.

  3. To improve participants’ knowledge of budgetary processes including MTBF and develop their capacity for making Departmental and District budgets.

  4. To familiarize participants with qualitative and quantitative tools and techniques of applied economics in public administration at the operational/implementation level.
