A best-fit analysis of the facts and circumstances related to the death of JonBenet Patricia Ramsey

| Not being big fans of handwriting analysis, we’re not going to get bogged down in its internal debates, which, to us, look more like analytical red herrings that serve only to derail an investigation. Contrary to the views of many involved in this case, we definitely do not see this as the best evidence in this crime. So, to provide resolution to this component of the case, and due to the complexity of the gross observations, we’ll treat only the gross features with a simple scoring system. If what we see is simply statistically uncommon, and hence the reason for controversy, we’ll score it with a 1. If it is something peculiar to the writing grammar or style itself, we’ll give it a 2. If it is something related to the logical ordering of events and cause and effect, we’ll give it a 3. Since we are dealing with gross features, we have no need to treat dissimilarities with greater weight than similarities, as is the standard with the non-gross features in handwriting analysis. So, let’s add it up:
1.) 1 2.) 1 3.) 1 4.) 3 5.) 1 6.) 3 7.) 1 8.) 3 9.) 2 10.) 2 Thus, if we are okay with our scoring system as an approximation, we can say it is equivalent to having 18 reasonable points of concern that indicate something other than the presumption of a kidnapping by someone other than the known inhabitants of that house on that night. We interpret this as 18 reasons to suspect this is a sadistic joke on whoever believes in its authenticity. We’ll see why later. Thus, the presenting hypothesis is that the rn is not authentic. Ergo, if there was no kidnapper – and if a kidnapper does not self-incriminate needlessly - the only persons present to commit the crime of murder were the known inhabitants of the house that night. This leads us to a corollary: someone known to be in the home that night was responsible for the victim’s injuries and death, and that the kidnapping was a deception created by one or some combination of those inhabitants. Given the anomalies, it is more likely than not, if we examine the rn alone, that someone within the home was responsible for JBR’s death. Ergo, the hypothesis holds. We should be careful to note that this is a best-fit analysis, so we are not advancing this as our conclusion, but only that this is what the rn by itself, indicates. We will have to combine it with all the other components of this case for a final, best-fit solution. We ask the reader to suspend the compulsion to reach a conclusion too quickly. So, we proceed. Basic Chronology Summary PR’s call to 911 was placed shortly after 5:45 a.m., Dec. 26. Within seven minutes, police officers Karl Veitch and Rick French arrived in police cars at the 15-room Ramsey home located at 755 15th Street. A quick search of the house was made, including the basement. The purpose of this search was to find an egress route for the kidnapper and not an attempt to locate someone or something. By the time Det. Linda Arndt arrived at 8 a.m., Fleet and Priscilla White, John Fernie and his wife, Barbara, (also close friends of the Ramseys), and the family priest were all at the Ramsey residence.
