Dr Joan Acker, conférencière de marque, division genre et diversité en organisationsJoan Acker est professeure emerita au département de sociologie à l’université de l’Oregon. Avant cela, elle a occupé plusieurs postes à l’Université de l’Oregon, Le Swedish Center for Working Life, le Center for the Study of Women in Society (U de l’Oregon), le Center for the Sociological Study of Women (U de l’Oregon) et la School of Social Welfare (University de Californie, Berkeley). Elle a publiée plus de 40 articles sur les inégalités organisationnels due au genre, la classe sociale, et la race, notamment celui en 1974 avec Don Van Houten « Differential Recruitment and Control » ainsi que « Gendering Organization Theory » (dans Mills et Tancred, Gendering Organizational Analysis, 1992), une des publications les plus citées dans les analyses organisationnels de perspective féministe. Ses articles ont parus dans plusieurs publications tels que Administrative Science Quarterly, Gender, Work and Organizations, Social Politics, Organization, Gender and Society parmi d’autres. Le Dr Acker a reçu le prix « Career of Distinguished Scholarship » (1993) ainsi que le prix Jessie Bernard (1989), tous deux remis par la Société Américaine de Sociologie. Le travail du Dr Acker nous a permis d’approfondir nos connaissances sur les rôles organisationnels du genre, la classe sociale, et la race. Présentement, le Dr Acker fait de la recherche sur le rôle du genre, de la classe sociale ainsi que de la politique raciale dans les organisations de cols blancs. Bartunek is a professor in the Organization Studies Department at Boston College. Her Ph.D. in social and organizational psychology is from the University of Illinois at Chicago, and prior to coming to Boston College she was a visiting assistant professor in the Organizational Behavior group at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She has published more than 60 journal articles and edited or authored 4 books. Her primary substantive research interests concern intersections of social cognition, conflict, organizational change and transformation, and practitioner-academic interfaces. Her primary methodological research interests concern ways practitioners in a setting and outside researchers can collaborate in studying the setting. She is currently associate editor of Advances in Qualitative Organizational Research. In addition, she is on several editorial boards, including Administrative Science Quarterly, the Journal of Applied Behavioral Science, Academy of Management Learning and Education, Field Methods, Concepts and Transformation, and the Journal of Organizational Behavior. During 2001 – 2002 she is President of the Academy of Management. She has previously held a number of other positions within the Academy of Management She is also a fellow of the Academy of Management. Avant de se joindre au Boston College, elle était professeure associée au groupe comportement organisationnel de l’Université de l’Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. Elle a publié plus de 60 articles et a dirigé ou écrit 4 livres. Elle s’intéresse à l’intersection de la connaissance sociale, le conflit, la transformation organisationnelle, et les intermédiaires entre gestionnaires et académiciens. Au plan méthodologique, elle s’intéresse au façons dont les praticiens et les académiciens collaborent pour étudier les organisations. Elle est rédactrice adjointe de Advances in Qualitative Organizational Research. Elle est aussi membre de plusieurs comites de rédaction, dont le Administrative Science Quarterly, le Journal of Applied Behavioral Science, Academy of Management Learning and Education, Field Methods, Concepts and Transformation, et le Journal of Organizational Behavior. Elle est présidente de l’Academy of Management pour l’année 2001-2002. Elle a été élue fellow de l’Académie et y a occupé plusieurs postes avant sa présidence. Mon/Lun Session/Séance 6 2:15-3:30 Room/Salle: La Verendrye Dr. John E. Ettlie, Distinguished Speaker, Technology and Information Management Division John Ettlie is the Malelon L. and Richard N. Resett Professor of Business Administration and Director of the Technology Management Center at the Rochester Institute of Technology. He earned his Ph.D. at Northwestern University in 1975 and has held appointments since then at the University of Illinois Chicago, De Paul University, the Industrial Technology Institute and the University of Michigan Business School. Dr. Ettlie has published over 50 refereed journal articles, authored five books and has made over 100 professional presentations, world-wide, on the management of technological innovation. His current research projects include an investigation of the adoption of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, a study of technology, reliability and customization of manufacturing products, and the context of new product development (NPD). He is the associate editor of several professional journals including Decision Sciences and Journal of Operations Management. Dr John E. Ettlie, conférencier de marque, division gestion de la technologie et de l’innovation John Ettlie est le Malelon L and Richard N Ressert Professor of Business Administration ainsi que le directeur du Technology Management Center au Rochester Institute of Technology. Il a obtenu son doctorat à l’Université Northwestern en 1975. Depuis lors il a occupe des postes académiques à l’Université de l’Illinois, l’Université de Chicago, l’Université De Paul, l’Industrial Technology Institute et l’University of Michigan Business School. Le Dr Ettlie a publié plus de 50 articles, a écrit 5 livres, et a fait plus de 100 présentations mondialement sur la gestion de la technologie. A présent il fait de la recherche sur le choix de systèmes de planification de ressources pour l’entreprise (ERP), ainsi que sur la technologie, la fiabilité et la manufacture de produits sur mesure, et le contexte dans lequel on développe de nouveaux produits (NPD).
