John Clayton, ESPN: Clady signed a five-year, $14.75 million deal that could max out at $17.3 million. The deal includes $11.415 million in guarantees.
Joel Corry, NFP: The Denver Broncos signed offensive tackle Ryan Clady to a five-year, $52.5 million contract (with an additional $5 million in base salary escalators)… Clady’s deal contains $33 million in guarantees. $15 million is fully guaranteed, which consists of a $10.5 million July 19 roster bonus, $3 million signing bonus and $1.5 million 2013 base salary. His $8 million 2014 base salary, $8.5 million 2015 base salary and $1.5 million fifth day of the 2015 league year roster bonus are guaranteed for injury only. The 2014 and 2015 base salaries become fully guaranteed on the fifth day of the league year in each specific contract year (i.e.; 2015 base salary becomes fully guaranteed on approximately March 15, 2015). These guarantees do not contain offsets. Clady also has unguaranteed $9.5 million and $10 million base salaries in 2016 and 2017… The $5 million in base salary escalators are predicated on Clady being named first team All-NFL or All-Pro during the deal. The base salaries in the remaining contract years escalate by $500,000 with one All-NFL/All-Pro selection. They escalate by an additional $1 million with his second All-NFL/All-Pro selection. The only way Clady can earn the entire $5 million is with first team All-NFL/All-Pro selections in 2013 and 2014.

Brian McIntyre, MacsFootballBlog.com: Clark's extension is worth $3.477 million and includes $1.077 million in stated guarantees. Clark's $1.323 million is not officially guaranteed, but since it was unchanged, and he doesn't appear to be going anywhere, the actual guarantee of his extension is $2.4 million. Clark was a restricted free agent this offseason and received the low tender offer of $1.323 million in non-guaranteed base salary. Clark's base salary remains the same and he received a $677,000 signing bonus to bring his 2013 cash compensation to $2 million. Moving forward, Clark has base salaries of $1.4 million in both 2014 and 2015, with $400,000 of his 2014 salary fully guaranteed. Clark has playing-time escalators that can increase his salaries by up to $1 million in 2014 and 2015. In terms of the cap, Clark's cap number rose from $1.3286 million to $1.554 million. In 2014 and 2015, Clark will have a $1.625 million cap hit, which could rise if Clark triggers the base salary escalators.

Mike Florio, PFT: the reported maximum value of $48 million over six years is an exaggeration, and that the true maximum value of the deal is $38 million… We're also told that $14 million of the contract is buried in the sixth year, via a $4 million roster bonus and incentives based on minimum playing time.
Jeff Legwold, Denver Post: The contract, counting escalators and incentives, includes $11 million in bonuses. It includes about 45 percent performance incentives, and if Cutler hits them all, it will be worth $47.86 million. Among the performance bonuses are $1.95 million for any year in the first five years of the deal that he finishes in the top five in any of the league's major passing categories, as well as a $4 million bonus for taking 60 percent of the offensive snaps in any three years or 70 percent of the snaps in 2009. There also is a potential $500,000 bonus in each of the first five years for taking 70 percent of the snaps and either taking 70 percent of the snaps in a Super Bowl or winning a Super Bowl.
Mike Klis, Denver Post: 2007 salary: $11.2 million (includes $3 million bonus if he takes 45 percent of 2007 snaps).
Mike Klis, Denver Post: Cutler has forfeited his $100,000 workout bonus [in 2009] because he has missed more than 10 percent of the offseason conditioning program.

Jim Armstrong/John Henderson, Denver Post: Shanahan indicated yesterday that the team would be willing to renegotiate the three-year, $484,000 contract Davis signed after being selected in the sixth round of the draft… Davis… received a $38,000 signing bonus and annual salaries of $119,000, $149,000 and $178,000. Each year represents the league minimum.
Adam Schefter, Denver Post: Davis received a five-year, $6.8 million deal - including a $1 million signing bonus - that boosted his average annual salary from $166,000 to $1,360,000… Davis' base salaries will be $200,000 this season, $500,000 next season, $1.350 million in 1998, $1.75 million in '99 and $2 million in 2000. They tore up the final two years of Davis' original contract, in which he was scheduled to make $164,000 and $178,000, and made him the NFL's 17th-highest- paid running back. And if Davis needed any more incentive, he has one now. The contract also includes a $100,000 incentive if Davis reaches any one of three plateaus: *If he leads the AFC in rushing. *If he leads the AFC in total yards. *If he is one of the AFC's top three rushers and is voted to the Pro Bowl.
Len Pasquarelli, Atlanta Constitution Journal: The nine-year, $51.9 million contract signed by Denver tailback Terrell Davis is structured more like a four- or five-year deal worth about $5 million annually. The former Georgia player got an $11 million signing bonus, but it is doled out in four payments --- $1.833 million each 1998-2000 and $5.501 million in 2001. Davis' base salaries are $500,000 in 1998, $900,000 in 1999, $1.3 million in 2000, $5.8 million in 2001, $4.7 million each in 2002 and 2003, with a $1 million roster bonus both years, and $7 million each in 2004-2006. If Davis isn't among the NFL's top nine rushers in those final three years, the base salary is reduced by half.

Jeff Legwold, Rocky Mountain News: Marshall and Dumervil each signed four-year deals - that included the rookie minimum base salaries of $275,000, $360,000, $445,000 and $530,000 for the four years. Marshall's signing bonus was $420,000, Dumervil's $399,000.
Mike Florio, PFT: Dumervil's new contract from the Broncos has a base value of $61.5 million over six years. The deal carries $58.332 million in new money, and an injury guarantee of $43.168 million. Skill guarantees apply in 2011 ($28 million) and 2012 ($12 million).
The compensation for 2010 remains the same, with Dumervil getting $3.168 million. Dumervil's base salary was dropped to the minimum, with the balance paid as a signing bonus. On the first day of the next league year, whenever it may start, $14 million in base salary becomes guaranteed for skill. At about that time, $6 million of it will be paid out as an advance. Also in 2011, $14 million in base salary for 2012 becomes guaranteed. In early 2012, $13.3 million of it will be paid as an advance in March of that year. In 2012, $12 million in base salary for 2013 becomes guaranteed. The remaining base salaries are $10 million in 2014 and $9 million in 2015.
