Rising competition in Telecommunications industry created Telco operators’ constant need to attract and maintain customers through adopting new technologies for better customer-focused services. Telco operators seek committed service partners to help them satisfy evolving needs for services and products while ensuring adherence to Telco industry standards. ITWorx offers a diversity of services —ranging from consumer and self-service portals, application development, and Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) to maintenance and support services— to enable leading Telco operators achieve their business objectives. ITWorx was selected as a software services provider by two leading mobile operators in the Middle East: Vodafone Egypt and du®. For Vodafone Egypt, ITWorx developed a bilingual fully integrated portal with account management services offering fast and efficient online services and automated customer operations. ITWorx developed Vodafone live! mobile portal through integrating a multitude of technologies across several applications to provide messaging, mail, calendar, news access, and downloading capabilities to wireless devices. In addition, ITWorx continues to support Vodafone Egypt through a fast response support model that increased Vodafone live! service availability and boosted customer satisfaction.
du® entrusted ITWorx to handle a number of their IT services and applications, including three major projects: Self-Care Portal, Number Booking Application, and du’s Infrastructure. ITWorx developed du comprehensive self-care portal. As an initiative to du® pre-launch campaign, ITWorx delivered the number booking application; a web application enabling users to book their preferred numbers using easy-to-use steps, registration forms, and an e-payment module. Within two days of its launch, ITWorx’ number booking application enabled du’s potential customers to issue more than 100,000 number-booking, promoting du’s goal in reaching target market systems. In addition, ITWorx integrated du customer facing portals and e-services with its backend systems through extensible EAI to handle new components, thereby improving customer experience and satisfaction.
ITWorx offered services leverage performance tuning and load balancing to present its customers with highly competitive services and products. ITWorx’ differentiators are its security practices, manageability, and productivity. 1.1.19.ITWorx Communications Offerings


ITWorx offers Communications companies a set of advanced services and products using cutting-edge technologies. ITWorx offers Telco operators a diversity of servicesranging from self-service portals, number booking platform, mobile portals, and performance management platforms to maintenance and support services. Furthermore, ITWorx Media solutions allow Media companies to manage entertainment content using ITWorx Web content management platforms.

1.1.19.1.Real-time Event Analysis Platform


Telco operators identified the need for having different reports that help in understanding the user experience against the different services that they offer and monitoring network performance, VIS, and Marketing departments. This, in turn, helps them device strategic initiatives that strive to improve customer loyalty in a very competitive market. Addressing Telco operators concern, ITWorx came up with its “Real-time Event Analysis Platform” solution that gathers data from multiple data sources‒such as network element interfaces, CDRs, or probesin signaling links, and it also offers resource and service-related reporting. The platform brings all this information together to enable operators analyze subscriber events across all the technologies in the network. The platform helps in viewing service and network performance from customer perspective and analyzes service usage to understand trends. It also includes forecasting components to predict the trend of activities on the network and therefore enable operators to identify any unexpected behavior on the network within minutes of its occurrence.
ITWorx reconciles forecasting capabilities to reduce costs through rapid problem detection and prioritization according to potential service impact and respond more quickly to customer complaints. The platform supports the decision making process through using analysis for planning and marketing.
ITWorx has implemented the “Real-time Event Analysis Platform” solution for key customers such as Vodafone, STC, and Ericsson.

1.1.19.2.Telco Multi-channel Self-Service Portals


ITWorx realizes that Self-Service portals are now becoming a primary vehicle for providing messaging, email, calendar, news access, and downloading services to consumers via PCs, mobiles, and handheld devices. ITWorx multi-channel self-service portals provide operators with various service-delivery channels such as Web, Mobile, and SMS portals in addition to IVR, ITPTV, and USSD. Through integrating back-end systems with e-billing and e-payment gateways, ITWorx provides Self-Service portals with account management services where consumers can easily access online services.
ITWorx delivered Self-Service Portals to Vodafone Egypt and du in UAE. By using ITWorx Vodafone Self-Service portal, customers can easily view and manage their accounts without getting back to customer service. Through du Self-Service Portal, du customers are exposed to a group of e-services, for instance, voice, data, video, broadband internet, TV, as well as other content services and business applications. ITWorx implemented a mobile payment platform for Dubai eGovernment to allow Dubai citizens and residents to add balance to their subscription services like RTA (Salik), Dubai Police, and DEWA to pay for their usage.

1.1.19.3.Enterprise & Consumer Mobile Solutions


With rapid adoption of mobile devices, it has become critical for organizations to reach customers through handsets. Organizations are also using mobile applications to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of knowledge workers across all industries. The booming social networking era has further opened new opportunities for organizations to engage in a two-way dialogue with customers and stakeholders, and to take advantage of crowdsourcing.
Context-Aware Mobile Applications Platform

ITWorx is building a Context-Aware framework on top of Mobile Device Management Platform that currently exists. The framework defines users' location, identity, activity, and time factor and includes different applications, for instance, mobile advertising, location awareness, and user profiling. Taking the Context-Aware Framework as a foundation, ITWorx extends its solution to add more services like on-device Self-care, on-device streaming, and on-device enterprise applications.


Mobile Portals

With the rapid increase of mobile phones usage nowadays, it became essential for Telco operators to add Internet functionalities through Mobile Portals which provides browser-based access to the Internet from a mobile device. ITWorx successfully delivered Vodafone live! Platform; an integrated package of services including email, calendar, instant messaging, multimedia downloads, multimedia messaging, worldwide news access, search capabilities, and customizations for all major handsets.


Mobile Applications

ITWorx developed mobile applications targeting different arrays of customers. Targeting Citizens, ITWorx developed mobile applications to increase citizens' usage for mobile phones. Citizen Journalism is a mobile application to help normal citizens develop media content using their smart phones whereas eInspector mobile application allows citizens report rule violations. ITWorx developed BingMyWay Application to support citizens in viewing and reporting traffic status through mobile machines.


Penetrating the Educational sector, ITWorx developed two applications targeting parents and teachers. mParent™ is a mobile application that keeps parents updated with their children academic activities on their different handsets. Parents can view children's academic progress, receive school notifications, and contact teachers and school management. TeacherPal™ is an ipad application for teachers that help them record student attendance using seating chart, student grades, and behavior instances.

1.1.19.4.TV & Radio Streaming Gadget


To increase channels' viewership rates, media companies are targeting competitive solutions to achieve this goal. Desktop Gadget applications became a preferable channel for customers to view different channel highlights and program schedules of media companies. ITWorx developed a Windows Gadget Application that would become downloadable via media companies' websites. The gadget is designed to appear into the user’s desktop once they switch on their computers, and operates once they are connected to the Internet. ITWorx implemented the Windows Gadget Application for Rotana, Zain, and du.

1.1.19.5.platiNUM Number Booking Platform


platiNUM is a metallic number platform that enables mobile operators identify and sell metallic numbers online. platiNUM helps operators leverage their range of numbers to acquire new subscribers, minimize churn, and generate revenue. platiNUM helps operators create a marketing stir while promising no-less-than 300% ROI.
Capitalizing on this, ITWorx delivered the number booking application; a Web application enabling users to book their preferred numbers using easy-to-use steps, registration forms, and an e-payment module. ITWorx successfully delivered a tailored Vodafone live! platform that integrates with Vodafone’s internal systems, instant messaging services, multimedia messaging content delivery services, third party search partners, and Vodafone content providers worldwide.
The integrated Vodafone live! package of services includes email, calendar, instant messaging, multimedia downloads, multimedia messaging, worldwide news access, search capabilities, andcustomizations for all major handsets. ITWorx also integrated ER5 into the solution to provide a billing application for services provided by Vodafone live!, which increases revenue for the operator while providing more efficient billing services to the end user.
