MEYER DAVIS' SWANEE SYNCOPATORS
Meyer Davis' career extended over half a century, but few of his products are of interest as jazz. However, the following titles, recorded by Brunswick for the British market, are exceptional. The Brunswick files show a date only for the last session; Davis' only contribution was probably to arrange the sessions.
Probably Mickey Bloom, Fuzzy Farrar, t / Tommy Dorsey, tb / Jimmy Dorsey, cl, as / Arnold Brilhart, as / Babe Russin, ts / vn (some titles) / Frank Signorelli, p / Perry Botkin, bj / Joe Tarto, sb / Chauncey Morehouse, d / Scrappy Lambert, Smith Ballew, and another, v. New York, c. November, 1928.
