4220 GERM WW1 BRASS BRACELET MADE FROM AN ARTILLERY SHELL DRIVING BAND. Brass shield to front of bracelet stamped with Bavarian Heraldic Lion, iron cross motif and 1914/15. Beneath shield is a small brass chain with black en. Iron crosses (EK1 & EK2) attached to each end. Fancy chequered design to inside of bracelet. Comes with old cloth covered case. A very attractive period piece. Grade II- $250

4223 GERM CIRCA WW1 TRENCH ART - MINIATURE PICKELHAUBE CIGARETTE ASHTRAY. Brass construction with a nickel plated finish which shows O/A wear with areas of brass showing through. Has brass chinscales, star shaped helmet plate & spike. Thin nickel plated brass front & rear visors with some tears & dents. Pickelhaube body with hinge to back, lifts up to expose a nickel plated cylindrical cigarette ash container, this with an area of damage to one section. Still a very desirable, well made collectable item. Grade II-. $285

4227 GERM WW1 Iron Cross cigarette case. Brass case (9 x 7cm) with a 1914 Iron Cross second class fixed to the hinged lid. The reverse of the cross is also vixable from the inside of the lid. Spring catch is broken and no longer closes. Now toned but would polish up really well. Grade III+ $125

4228 GERM WW1 Trench art pair of bud vases made from two 37mm shell cases. Both nicely engraved to front with an imperial crown and 1914-1919 "Souvenir". Grade II- $150

4229 GERM WW2 CRIMEA COMMEMORATIVE TRENCH ART PIECE. Turned wooden plate (260mm diam) with hand painted 'Krim' '1942' 'Rolf Kamm' around edge. The centre of the plate has a hand painted map of the Crimea region. Fixed to the centre of the plate is an original Eastern Front medal (susp. removed). Fixed to the top of the centre of the plate is a Close Combat clasp in silver (pin removed, & possibly a post war made piece?). Also fixed to the bottom edge of the plate is a pip from a shoulder tab. The plate has much age & weathering to all areas. The painted areas with fading & a washed out appearance. An unusual veteran made piece. Grade III+ $250

4231 ITALY/AUST WW2 POW TRENCH ART DESK TOP CIGARETTE DISPENSER. Polished hard wood in the form of a POW camp barracks hut. Has strikers on both sides of roof for matches (one missing). Cigarettes are dispensed by moving hut up and pushing back down, dispensing from roof. Reputedly made by an Italian POW at Tatura POW Camp in Victoria. Has chip to one corner of the base. Measures 28cm in length, 14cm wide and 13.5cm high. Grade II- $250

Issue date "/90" on back of blade. Plain pierced guards stamped "NSWG" "C" "1099" "00". Has very good checkened leather grips. C/W all steel scabbard. O/A light pitting. Also marked "NSWG". Issue dates "98" and "01". Sword does not fit snuggly into scabbard. Grade II- $850

FRANCE

4293 FRANCE M.1855 INFANTRY OFFICERS SWORD. Slightly curved broad fullered blade. Still bright with very light surface pitting. Inscription along back of blade. Ornate brass hilt and pommel. Wood grips missing binding. C/w all steel scabbard - heavily toned. As used extensively by both sides during the American Civil War. Grade II- $850

GREAT BRITAIN

4294 GB ROYAL ARTILLERY OFFICERS SWORD (C/1850 PATTERN) GVR, Etched blade by 'Henry Wilkinson', 3 bar hilt, most plating worn. Bright blade with rust spots and stains c/in its leather pattern scabbard but in Poor condition. This Grade III- Sword Grade II- $450

4295 GB Royal Horse Artillery Officer's 3 Bar hilt light sword. Good etched blade with VR cypher. Nickel plated hilt with wear and plating lifting. Fish skin and wire bound grips, with wear but no major damage. C/w all steel scabbard, this also with lifting to plate, but no dings or damage. C/w leather sword knot but in poor condition. 4298 GERM WW1-1930s JUNIOR ARMY OFFICERS SABRE. Plain nickle plated blade remains nice bright finish. Stirrup hilt with wire bound black bakelite grips shows some wear to nickel finish. C/w black painted all metal scabbard, with one hanging ring with provision for sling attachment. Has a couple of small dings to scabbard o/w Grade II- $420

4299 GERM WW2 SWORD KNOT. For the Municipal Protection Police. Stitching has come undone on the strap all the way but is repairable. O/w GC knot. $85

GERMANY - UNATTRIBUTED

4300 GERM C/1930's-40's Army Junior Officer/ NCO Parade sword. N/P doves head hilt with wire bound bakelite grips. (Most N/P worn to hilt). Plain N/P bright blade with only a couple of small marks. As worn with the parade uniform. Lic req Victoria. Grade II- $350

INDIA

4301 INDIA C/19th CENTURY - VERY EARLY 20th CENTURY TAIWAN SWORD. Thin, but very broad plain steel blade, curved. Typical plain unadorned nickel silver hilt with disk pommel. O/A length 86cm. C/W leather covered wood scabbard, (leather worn in places also along the bottom edge exposing wood). Otherwise Grade II- $350

4302 INDIA C/19TH CENT.- EARLY 20TH CENT. TALWAR SWORD. Plain all steel hilt with typical large disk pommel. Heavy curved Semitar steel blade with only light stain. Hilt with O/A pitting and light surface rust. C/W leather covered wood scabbard. O/A Length 92cm. Grade II-. $300

4303 INDIA c/1850- early 20th Cent. Tulwar Sword. Quite a heavy blade Cleaned up) Steel handle with simple Iron hand guard and disc type pommel, usual age patina/light surface rust to handle. Leather covered scabbard. Reasonable example. Lic Req Victoria. Grade II- $300

4305 Japan WW2 Army Officer's Shin-Gunto. Tight, clean brown binding to Tsuka, possibly rebound, couple of Horizontal splits to the white Same' on the side only. Solid A01 shaped brass Tsuba with Sakura to each corner Has a hole for the press stud leather retention strap. One W/m Seppa to either side of Tsuba. Brass Habaki with diagonal grooved design. Blade Tang with signature. Clean blade with Hamon still visable. Brown leather covered field scabbard with lace up top section above single brass suspension mount. A nice example. Grade II- $1200*
