4712 GB RARE WW1 MIDDLESEX REGIMENT 1902 SERVICE DRESS CAP. A rare example of the pattern introduced in 1902 and worn by the BEF in 1914. Khaki wool material, with stiff small peak to the front. Complete with an Edwardian style Middlesex Cap Badge (with loops,) General Service Buttons and correct thin brown leather chinstrap. The interior with an oilskin sweatband and cotton lining. Little age wear, but no damage. A highly desirable WW1 item. Grade II- $850

Light brown leather sweatband. Gold rayon lining with celluloid sweat diamond. No Maker. A nicely shaped visor cap with the high, jaunty style front. Grade II. $1250

4724 GERM WWW LUFTWAFFE AFRIKA KORPS 'HERMAN MEYER' TROPICAL VISOR CAP. Khaki cotton twill material. Soft construction with lightly stiffened cap band two metal ventillation holes to sides. Retains 3 WM buttons around cap band for securing chinstrap and neck flap (both absent). Cloth covered visor with seam. Bevo woven insignia on tropical background folded & sewn around shape edge. Red lining marked 54 1/2. 1943. 9/1316/0014. Has tan cotton sweat band. O/a an extremely scarce piece of Third Reich head gear. This example in lovely condition. Grade II+ $3000

Brown piping for Signals. 1st pattern matching aluminium alloy cap insignia. Black Enlisted Mans lacquered, leather chinstap. Black Vulcan fibre visor with sewn on false leather edging. Correct apple green cross hatching to underside of visor. Brown leather sweatband (with wear) has Unit stampings to inside. (LN KUMP 1 FL GR MU). Brown cotton lining. Celluloid sweat diamond present with maker, Robert Lubstein owners name 'Schiefer' (red stitching on white cloth background). Present under celluloid sweat diamond. Size 55.5. No moth damage. A nice example for the Luftwaffe collector. Grade II- $1250

4767 AUST 1880-1901 N.S.W Lancers field service cap (side cap). Woolen body of salmon khaki and scarlet with white piping to crown. Single brass air vent to either side. Side flaps with brass hook to each one which clips into the air vent. Flaps joined at the front by two W/m QVC NSW Military Forces buttons. Pale green woolen sweatband with faint owners name in ink, now indecipherable. Black cotton to both sides of the interior with remains of maker's label "Hobson and sons...Haymarket London." Some mothing mainly to R/s and areas of the white piping. Few light stain marks to R/H flap. Grade II- $2250*

Higher skirt to sides of the cap and low at the front. Cotton lining. Rayon sweatband. Shows signs of service wear, couple of small stain marks to L/H/S, but no moth or tears. A rare and unusual original cap. Grade II- $750*

4791 GERM WW2 police Em's field cap. (Schriffen) Well worn field grey woollen body (Colour more associated with SS and Police). Very heavliy moth on the R/H/S and a section is missing from rear of cap. Machine-woven police insignia to front, eagle and wreath in white thread on black backing. Shows soiling. Grey cotton lining in GC with maker. Size 59 and dated 1940. Displays well from the L/H/S. Grade III $285

4792 GERM WW2 RAD Em's Side cap. Earth brown woollen body with machine-emboided RAD Insignia to front. Rust coloured lining with RB. number, dated "1943" and size 58. Interior appears to be artificially aged, most likely the cap is a well made reproduction. Insignia appears to be real, priced accordingly. Grade II $150

4793 GERM WW2 Rare Army Medical Officers M38 side cap. Field grey Doeskin woollen body with bright silver alum. Piping to crown and front section of the side skirts. Bright silver Bevo Woven Alum. Thread Eagle on dark green cloth backing and hand-emboided bullion Reichs cockade with dark blue soutache to front single field grey painted brass air vent grommet to either side. Dark blue rayon lining with partial grey leather sweat band to the forehead area. A beautiful example in excellent condition. Grade II+ $950*

Cotton lining stamped 10.12.37 and size "53". Shows wear and light soiling. A couple of moth nips to top, O/W a nice cap. Grade II- $650

4795 GERM WW2 RAD EM's/NCO's Tuchmutze, Pre 1941. Earth-Brown woollen body with a dark brouwn felt cap band to front. Black woollen piping to top centre of Visor and to top edge of turn-up. Two metal grommet air vents to each side. Enamel RAD Emblem to front, small section of enamel missing from the red border of the spade head. Tan sweatband with "M.H." initials stamped into it. A good original example. Grade II-. $1000
