4897 GERMANY WWI M16 Steel Camouflage Helmet. Finger width black lines with approx 40% rmaining colours of brown, green and ochre. Somewhat faded out still a nice looking camo paint. Original leather M16 liner with all 3 inserts present but pads are missing. Unable to read makers marks. Large size 66 shell. Very nice looking item. Scarce. $1150

4898 GERM WW1 Camouflage painted M17 stell helmet. M17 Steel liner with light coloured leather tongues are present but missing horsehair pads. Liner a probable reproduction). Has a fair amount of rust/pitting to the dome, both internally and externally. Camo paint is original to helmet. Finger width black lines seperating random shapes of dark green and browns. Still an impressive looking helmet. Grade II- $750

4899 GERM WW1 Migsteel Helmet. Has been painted a very light greyish-blue to exterior and interior, but now showing O/A wear and age. Possibly Hungarian use due to the extra rivet location behind the lug on either side. Also has two small holes to R/S in front of the extra stud, possibly for attachment of a badge. No liner, but all studs present. An intersting helmet requiring further research. Grade II $495

4900 GERM WW2 ARMY M42 HELMET. Rough slate grey finish, stamped "CKL 34, 2727" Inside rear flare. Tan leather liner and chinstrap, both showing O/A wear. Some one looking to see if a decal is present, has cleaned back a small area under the left venthole, otherwise a nice combat example. Grade II-. $875

4901 GERM WW2 LATE WW2 M42 STEEL HELMET. RAW EDGE, SIZE 66. Market "CKL 66". M31 liner present, but heavily oil stained dried & becoming brittle. Numerous tongues have portions missing. Split pins tight & show no signs of being played with. Dark satin green (almost black) Heer finish. 90% with a number of small storage scuff marks. Size 58 liner in a hard to find Size 66 shell. A sought after late War Veteran of the last months of the 3rd Reich. Grade II- $750

4902 GERM WW2 M42 Army Helmet with bailing wire around the circumference. Original green painted finish with O/A wear Faint production markings inside rear flare. Dark brown leather liner shows age and wear. Drawstring still present No chinstrap, good original example. Grade II- $1050

4903 GERM WW2 Army M42 Steel Helmet. Dark green painted finish with o/a light wear. Shallow dent to dome. Stamped inside rear flare "5205" and "ET66"? (Only partialy stamped). Has original leather liner, leather still supple, missing draw string. A few of the drawstring holes torn through. Has a good reproduction chinstrap, apart from that it's a good original example. Grade II- $850*

4904 GERM WW2 Ground dug Snow cammo M40 steel helmet. Badly damaged with six bullet holes and a large shrapnel hole to the front visor and one the the rear. A very large shrapnel hole to the L/S rear of the dome has caused a wide split to the shell. Shell only no liner. O/a rust pitting and a very good amount of the whitewash looking camo. Badly rusted and pitted interior. Grade III $200*

4905 GERM WW2 Army M40 Steel Helmet. Original dark green painted rough textured finish with areas of heavy wear. Faint remains of decal to L/S. Owner's name in orange paint inside rear flare, "OB-Geer.F.Liedert.F.P.NR" dark brown leather liner has a few tears and shows wear, leather now dry. An original liner with drawstring but possibly not original to helemt. Missing chinstrap. Grade II $750

4906 GERM WW2 LUFTWAFFE M34 PATTERN LIGHTWEIGHT FIRE HELMET. Smooth black painted Shell with a 1cm wide white painted stripe encircling the Helmet. National Tri-colour Shield & Luftwaffe Insignia, both removed, outlines of both still visiable. Missing Liner, chinstrap side with buckle present Other side missing. Grade II- $250

4907 GERM WW2 Luftwaffe M42 Single decal steel helmet. Luftwaffe blue-grey painted finish now showing some age and wear. 2nd pattern eagle decal with light wear only. Shell stamped "NS64". on inside left flare. Dark brown leather liner and original leather chinstrap, which is nearly torn through. Hard to find now. Grade II- $1150*

4908 GERM WW2 LUFTSCHUTZ THREE PIECE GLADIATOR STYLE HELMET. Dark blue paint with silver Luftschutz decal to front. Decal rates at approx 75% with sections of the right wing missing. Original tan six tongue liner with black leather chinstrap. Missing drawstring and one tongue from leather liner. Luftschutz transfer with Size 57, inside rear flare. Grade II- $385

4909 GERM WW2 3 PIECE GLADIATOR STYLE STEEL HELMET. Black painted finish with darkened gilt "Zundapp" logo to front. Complete tan leather Luftschutz style liner with drawstring Black chinstrap with partial tears to both sides near each of liner. Remains of Luftschutz transfer inside rear flare with size 55. Grade II-. $425

4910 GERM WW2 RLB SHALLOW VISORED STEEL HELMET. Smooth dark green painted finish. Large "RLB" decal to front rates about 85- 90% with some areas of wear. Small dent above decal. 2 x sets of seven air vent holes to either side. Excellent tan size 54 leather liner with top pad & drawstring. Original black leather chinstrap in VGC. Nice O/A example of one of the harder to find helmets. Grade II- $850

4911 GERM WW2 M35 Steel Helmet. Painted Luftschutz dark satain blue. Exterior of shell repainted a white camo with a large hand painted Red Cross on top, ends of the cross arms terminating on the helmet rim. Interior of rear flare has white painted wording "MAF/A.817 San.Komp, also paper sticker to inside of dome with wording "MAF/A 817, Mahl.G M13 liner with light creamish-tan eight finger liner, leather dry. Shell size 62. Exterior paint shows age and wear but possible a postwar issued helmet. No chin strap. Grade II $550

4912 GERM WW1 M16 Steel helmet. Original grey-green painted. 2 x partial leather liner pads remaining. Stamped BF 64 inside left flare. A good original example. Grade II- $650*

4913 GERM WW1 M16 Steel Helmet. Original field grey painted finish showing age and o/a wear. Mod 17. Steel liner band with two cream coloured leather pads remaining. Missing rear liner band rivet. Faint owners name in black lettering inside rear flare and "1917" scratch into the paintwork. Grade II- $500

4914 GERM WW2 M38 PARATROOP HELMET. "POSSIBLE/REPUTED TO HAVE BEEN A GRAVE MARKER ON CRETE". Has a small weld/repair mark inside. Has been fitted with a reproduction liner and chin- strap. Original relic shell. Good as a gap filler or for display of a real camouflage cover or even serious re- enactor. Liner about size 56cm. Green/brown mottled camouflage to exterior and brown painted internally. Shell size unreadable through corrosion. Grade III+. $1500

4915 GERM WW2 Battle damaged ground dug relic M40 Stell helmet. Large shrapnel hole to rear of dome. Reminants of a slate grey finish with o/a pitting and dirt. Faint remains of a shield shaped decal to left side. rust pitted interior. Shell only. Fair condition for a relic. Grade II- $200

4916 ITA WW1 MODEL 1915 STEEL HELMET. ADRIANE STEEL with 'Horizon Blue' Paint. 1st Pattern liner & chinstrap. Overall 'crack- ing' to paint otherwise a very nice looking period Helmet. Grade II- $550

4917 ITALY WW2 M33 STEEL HELMET. Brown painted steel shell (scuffed). Has had two holes to front for badge, but filled Original leather liner with some damage to rear section with two flaps missing. Has leather chinstrap. Grade III+. $300

4918 JAPANESE SAMURAI HELMET or 'Zunari Kabuto', this helmet dates to the early Edo period (1600s). Iron plate bowl with 3 stage neck guard that are all lacquered dark brown, orig. hemp cloth lining intact & still has the original silk neck cords. The 'Maedate' or helmet crests are big, the back one being made from gold & black lacquered wood, it is 26" tall on its own & is original to the helmet, the front one is made from brass & is a later addition. There is some losses and cracks to the lacquer but a very impressive early Edo period Samurai helmet that is 32" tall and makes an impressive display. $4950

4919 JAPANESE SAMURAI KABUTO 'HELMET', main bowl is 6 iron plates black lacquered with the peak lacquered red inside, lacquered gold moon on the front. Has 'Maedate' or crest holder above the peak. Tunbacks on each side, 4 stage neck lames black lacquered iron with black lacing, hemp cloth lining is there but very worn. Missing neck cord, o/a minor wear but a good example of a mid edo period Kabuto with normal age wear for a Samurai helmet of its age dates to the late 1700s early 1800s. Grade II- $4000

4920 JAPAN WW2 CIVIL DEFENCE STEEL HEMET AND PROTECTIVE MASK, nice clean o/d painted steel helmet with white canvas liner with cloth chinstrap. C/w protective mask consisting of a dark blue cotton cloth face veil with a long neck flap/cape, glass eye lenses (square cut glass) pressent but cloth frames holding them in are damaged. As used for Air Raid Defence. O/a Grade II-. $500

4921 POLAND POST WW2 MOD 50 CIVIL DEFENCE STEEL HELMET. Grey painted Soviet style Steel Helmet with Comb. Three pad basic liner and leather chinstrap. Unusual looking Helmet. Grade II. $350

4922 RUSSR WW2 ORIGINAL WW2 SOVIET M-36 STEEL HELMET. Used in many Hollywood Movies over the years, has the original factory dark OD green paint job. The outside shows scuff marks & some areas of light surface rust (paint 65-70% complete), while the inside displays much rusting around where the liner attaches, (rest generally OK w/places of surface rust). Comb is present on the top & the brown leather six-tongued liner still has the black tie string, (but liner is tearing loose from the helmet band & is dry & cracking). Chinstrap attachment buckles are rusted. Cannot detect any stampings or marks. A scarce Helmet in it's own right, but has had an interesting story. Grade III+ $650

4923 SOUTH AFRICA WW2 Steel helmet with crude original 1942 liner Has chinstrap. Surface rust to underside of shell. Outer paint with about 70% original finish but has storage ring of rubber/tar to crown from weight of other helmets on top. 3 drilled holes to rear to afix neck flap(not present). Grade II- $120

4924 SWEDEN M26 STEEL HELMET. Retains all finish, with decal on front. Has 3 pad leather liner and chinstrap. Grade II. $85

4925 SWEDEN c/1960'S M37/70 Steel helmet with near new liner. Matt grey painted dome. No insignia. Storage wear only. Grade II- $85

4926 SWISS WW2 ARMY STEEL HELMET. Heavy black painted finish. Good 3 pad leather liner and chinstrap. O/a service wear. A good example. $150

4927 SWISS C/WW2 ARMY STEEL HELMET. Heavy black painted finish. Has leather three pad liner and chinstrap. Shows some service wear. Good example. Grade II- $150

4928 US WW1 M-1917 BRODIE HELMET. Really good example with original saw dust mix finish, Divisional Insignia for the 78th Infantry Division can just be made out on one side. Original liner and leather chinstrap. Grade II. $500

4929 US WW2 M1 STEEL HELMET. Shell with dark green finish (over- all service wear and abrasions). Front seam join. Swivel chinstrap, but missing. Chinstrap loops and stamps. Olive drab painted fibre liner has tan web liner, but missing chinstrap and sweatband. Still good display piece. And becomming hard to find. Grade III+ $250

4930 US WW2 Tank helmet. Khaki painted vulcanied fibre shell with ten ventilation holes. O/a wear to the finsh. Supple brown leather liner with Rawlings maker and size 7 3/8. Tear to part of the R/s flexible leather side flap. (Section which houses the earphones present). The two outer leather adjustment fingure removed. The helmet has seen plenty of service use. A nice combat example. Grade II- $250

4931 US C/1951-60 KOREAN WAR M1 STEEL HELMET SHELL with Post War fibre liner. Late WW2 shell with rear rim join, hinged chinstrap bails with C/1951-60 web chinstraps. Original O/D Grit finish. C/w Post War C/1970-80s liner (no chinstrap). Grade II- $85

4932 US VIETNAM MI STEEL HELMET WITH PERIOD LINER & CHINSTRAP. Comes with Vietnam Period reversible Oak Leaf style Camouflage Cover. (Heavily stained). Grade II- $120

4933 US USM1 STEEL HELMET (POST WW2) WITH FRENCH M57 LINER. Helmet cover of US Woodland Pattern Camouflage. Chinstrap present. Grade II- $85

4934 FRA WW2 STEEL M26 HELMET - CASQUE ADRIANE. With fair condit- ion leather liner. Painted in a olive green colour with some small period dents from service use. Chinstrap present but well used. Standard Republique Francais Badge to front. Grade II- $275

SLOUCH HATS

4935 AUST Militia Light Horse Slouch Hat. Fur felt. 1929 dated. Re-enforced brim. 90% of the sweatband is missing, although the band remains stitched in place. The portion remaining dated 1929 with "United...". Retains original hooks for chinstrap. Two holes punched either side of brim close to the puggaree where another chinstrap has been implemented. Has rising sun with old cloth backing? Early 1912-1930 style Light Horse puggaree (7 fold) with white centre fold. Original Light Horse emu plumes. Scarce on the market. Grade II-. $1500*

4936 AUST WW2 SLOUCH HAT. FUR FELT. Press stud side. (Carr Aust). Has chinstrap (worn) but missing sweatband. Has five fold pugaree (no colour patch). No Rising Sun. O/a moth damage and hole to brim. Becoming hard to get. Still OK for display. Grade III+ $250

4937 AUST WW2 ARMY SLOUCH HAT. Fur felt. Press stud side. A very rough example. Missing chinstrap and sweatband. Has a few small holes to crown and two larger ones to top. A few small white paint stains. Has rising sun badge held in place by a 1942 Dutch East Indies coin. Has puggaree with a very tatty, mothed 1944 signals colour patch. Becomming hard to find. This example still good for display. Grade III- $225

4938 AUST WW2 ARMY SLOUCH HAT FUR FELT. Press stud side. Missing chinstrap and sweatband removed. Light moth nips to under- side of brim and to top (does not detract). Has Rising Sun Hat Badge (polished). 1943/45? Dated Puggance (Size 6 5/8). Grade II-. $300

4939 AUST WW2 ARMY SLOUCH HAT. Fur felt. Press stud side By. "Carr" Australia. Six fold Puggaree. Oxy Rising Sun Hat Badge. Has liner (worn) "D" Arrow "D" marked, but no date visable. Also has chinstrap. Some light moth grazing to underside of brim, heavier mothing to under the puggaree, but hidden, also large 3cm cut to rear under puggaree and also hidded. A nicely shaped hat. Grade II- $485

4940 AUST WW2 ARMY SLOUCH HAT. Fur felt. Press stud side By. "Carr" Aust. Re-inforced edge to brim. Six fold pugaree. (No colour patch). Has Rising Sun Hat Badge. Has sweatband (No visiable date) and chinstrap. Light moth grazing only. These are drying up very quickly. Invest in the future. Grade II- $500

4941 AUST WW2 Slouch hat. Press stud side catch by Carr Aust. Brown air eyelets. Period puggaree. Size 6 3/8. Hads nice shape and nice oxy rising sun hat badge. Manufacture and date stamps too badly worn to read. Sweatband partialy unstitched. O/a a good looking example. Grade II- $500*

4942 AUST MILITIA/WW2 Slouch hat, Fur felt. Nice condition. Good shape, no damage. Has Militia puggaree with red centre fold for Infantry. Press stud side by "Carr Aust". Oxy rising sun hat badge. Sweatband shows some service use. Clearly marked "N121 Fur Felt 7 1/4 1942" Has chinstrap. These are getting harder to get. Grade II $750*

4943 AUSTRALIA KOREAN WAR SLOUCH HAT 1952 DATED. By John Bardsley & Son Pty Ltd. Sixe 6 5/8. Very nice K/C Australian Artill- ery Hat Badge and very worn puggaree which gives the hat a very much "been there - done that" look. Minor moth nips and Service soiling. Grade II- $185

4944 AUST 1980'S STYLE SLOUCH HAT FOR " WRAAC". Women's Royal Australian Army Corps. Size 57/58. With WRAAC pugaree and leather chin strap. Dated 1975. Grade II- $50

4945 AUST ARMY SLOUCH HAT WITH PUGAREE. No badges or colour patch No chinstrap. Dated 1994. Size 52. By Mount Castle. Nice good clean example. Would make a great gift for an Overseas collector. Grade II. $65

4947 AUST WW2 WAAF HAT FUR FELT. Similar to slouch hat design but bashed for Womens wear. Press stud side. Has KD pugaree with KC RAAF hat badge. Sweat band and chinstrap removed. O/a a nice looking example. Grade II- $300

4948 AUST WW2 SLOUCH HAT RAAF PATTERN '1944' dated sweatband (this has been re-tacked in) but original and still some stitch wear, no side press stud as per pattern, only very light grazing in very small areas. Grade II. Size 6 7/8. $385

4953 GB PRE WW1 FUSILIERS FUR CAP. Black fur with white hackle to LHS. Missing badge and chinstrap. Some balding to fur on top RHS and o/a cork at top cracked and soft but retains shape. Retains leather liner with heavy service wear. Has issue stamps for 1912. O/a Grade II- $550

4954 GERM Imperial Prussian Firman's Pickelhaube. Black leather body showing age but in o/a VGC. Brass helmet comb and Prussian star helemt plate. Brass trim to front visor. Still has original leather chinstrap with single brass adjusting buckle.Black leather liner in GC. Stamped size 57 inside dome. Grade II- $550*

4955 GERM WW2 NSFK (NATIONAL SOZIALISTICKERS FLIEGER KORPS) EM'S SCHIRMUTZE. A blue-grey wool stiffened Kefi style visor cap Yellow piping to top perimeter edge of cap crown, to top edge of the turn-up & front vertical edge. Silver pebbled front button. 3rd pattern stamped aluminium National Emblem affixed to upper front. Black leather chinstrap with black side buttons. 2 X black metal air vents to either side of cap body. Fawn leather sweatband with minor wear. Grey Cotton interior lining with ink maker's stamp "Robert Lubstein. Berlin NW21". Cap size "59". A very rare cap. Apart from a couple of moth nips to the top piping. Grade II+. $1850

4956 AUST WW2 RAN SOLAR HELMET. White blancoed canvas covered cork. Good clean example. Has brown leather chinstrap. Melbourne maker. Crack to brim at front, but only shows from underside. Grade II- $175

4957 ITALY WW2 STANDARD ISSUE TROPICAL/COLONIAL PITH HELMET. Good solid example with no soft spots. Has brass Infantry cap badge on rosette on front. (Small field repair to canvas on visor). Good oil cloth liner but missing chinstrap. O/w a very good example. Grade II. $350

4958 ITALY WW2 TROPICAL SOLAR HELMET. Indian made pith helmet with Italian helmet badge for the 1st Anti-Aircraft Regt. This has a small religious medallion attached. Has leather chinstrap, sweatband. Shows some use and soiling to top. O/w no damage and a nice example. Indian and South African pith helmets were frequently pressed into service by Axis troops. Grade II- $350

4959 US WW2 USML TROPICAL FIBRE SOLAR HELMET. Khaki cotton covered with Oxy brass USML screw back hat badge. No chin- strap but has basic liner. Grade II- $160

4962 AUST WW2 NURSES DRESS ATTRIBUTED TO 'VFX 98374 P M HECKRATH' (Named on collar). The dress is the AWAS 'Frock-Summer, Khaki Drill, 8 oz'. 1943 dated. Has Lieutenant slip on epaulettes. Small size. Grade II. Patricia was a Lieutenant with the AAMC Aug 1945 to May 1947. $250

Vietnam period US Special Forces dark green beret with Special forces beret flash with brass Q/C skippy RAR hat badge attached Badge has been unpicked around edges and now only tacked on probably done to try to authenticate it. US Tiger Stripe shirt (no markings), a peice of period scrim used as a scarf. Australian patt 56 pistol belt with vertical web. Nothing Named or attributed ideal as representative Eg. $450

4966 AUST MODERN/CURRENT UNIT MADE SNIPER SUIT/ GILLIE SUIT/ YOWIE SUIT. 2 Piece DPCU Auscam Shirt/ tunic with numerous slits cut into material with many torn strips of Muscam material affixed. Size 100R (Chest size in cms). Trousers are Muscam DPCU with same style stripes of attached cloth. Size Large/Short 99S (99cm waist). Grade II- $150

4967 AUST Modern Sniper Suit. "Gillie Suit-Yowie Suit" Self made by RAR soldier on sniper course. Basic green army overalls size 96-101R covered o/a in strips of hessian, nicely freyed. Sewn onto collar is a head covering piece of material quite well done. Grade II- $150

4969 AUST WW2 RAFF OFFICERS S/D TUNIC AND TROUSERS. Blue winter s/d tunic with all black K/C Bakerlite buttons. Cuff rank for group captain. K/C emb. padded pilots wings, 8 place ribbon bar for WW2 Africa, Pacific, OBE and air efficiency Small moth hole to r/h cuff o/w a very nice tunic with s/d belt. Waist about 87cm. C/w matching s/d trousers again about 87cm. These with some heavy mothing in area below the fly. Appears to be a nice talored uniform. Not named. Grade II- …………………………..$475
