4811 AUST WW2 AUST MADE 'B' TYPE LEATHER FLYING HELMET. With tightening strap across brow and back. No coms. Dated 1942 on tag. Named to 435041 R Porter and 439078 Bradford. O/a some service wear but Grade II. $275

4812 AUST c/WW2 "D" type flying helmet. 1st Pattern variant, no straps for oxygen mask. Has two rear gogle straps. Made by "Stagg', Melbourne Aust. Yellow silk lining, press stud type chinstrap. Has hollow gosport ear pieces and tubes. One ear piece is engraved "E D Hannan" Soiled through heavy use. Possible commercial variant. Grade II- $350*

4813 AUST WW2 RAAF FLYING HEAD GEAR LOT. Reputedly belonging to Flight Lieut Arthur J Hill. Mid 'C' type leather flying helmet showing some service wear and named to F/LT Hill. Inside ear pads. Has radio receivers (Stomberg-Carison 1942), coms "Conector leads (10H 4887) with bell plug. These unissued with Stores tag attached. MK VIII Flying Goggles with clear lenses - no damage but obvious service wear. Also c/w throat microphones by Commonwealth Aircraft Corporation M-J167. In near Mint condition. With research notes. (Flying helmet only named piece). O/a a nice lot. Grade II- $850

4814 GB C/WW1 FLYING GOGGLES. Similar to the MK II. Near relic condition. Heavily mothed interior. Missing fur/cloth padding and both straps. Grade IV. $150

4815 GB RAF HELICOPTER PILOTS BONE DOME. An early example of the MK III pattern, green body with single tinted visor. The interior is with earphones and padding. Complete with jack plug and lead. The rear of the helmet with name 'Cpl Holmes 3 Regt AAC Opos'. With little service wear, no mic. Grade II- $275

4816 GB WW2 RAF TYPE C LEATHER FLYING HELMET. With attached cross ports and chin strap. O/a service wear and soiling to inside. Split to rear seam (10cm). Repairable. Grade III+ $400

4817 GB WW2 RAF HELMET. Cork. Aviation type A. 22C/13. Later redesignated as 22C/274-284. Has ear flaps/chin strap. Tan leather sweat band shows some service use. Named to F/SGT I S McNeil. Size 7. Grade II- $850

4819 GERM WW2 LUFTWAFFE LKP W101 WIRED LEATHER FLYING HELMET. Fur lined with fleece ear pads. Leather covered in oval alum. Cups attached to each side. Throat mic with two larynx contacts. Rear radio leads with bakelite plug. Grade II. $750

4821 JAPAN WW2 Pre-WW2 c/ Late 1920's/30's style winter leather and fur flying helmet. Press stud under chinstrap style fastener. Button down/button up verticle style ear flaps, o/a an excelent condition hard to find item. Dense natural fur. One small detraction being a small chip to one of the brown side flap buttons. Excelent display peice. Grade II- $1100

4822 US WW2 TYPE A9 CLOTH FLYING HELMET USAF. Has fleece padded ear cushions and chinstrap. No coms or Gosport receivers. Chinstrap buckle and press studs rusted o/w Grade II- Size Medium. $70

4825 CANADA WW2 RCAF MK III FLYING GOGGLES. 1941 dated. Clear perspex lenses, oversize leather padding. RCAF and 1941 stamps to headstrap. SCARCE. $350

4827 GB WW2 RAF 'GOGGLES MARK IVB' (No 22c/167), lovely near Mint pair except the back strap has been modified by removal of the leather strap and just having the elastic strap re-sewn on. Comes in its box of issue (no lid and very worn) has spare parts in box (these Near Mint). Apart from rear strap modification a lovely pair of goggles. Grade II. Box Grade III. $350

4828 GB WW2 'GOGGLES-NIGHT VISION TRAINING', Outdoor type, No 22C/1041, 1944 dated, in original box of issue with spare lenses, all nicely marked, slight storage wear but lenses smashed, lucky there are spares in the box. O/a Grade II- See 'Vintage Flying Helmets by Mick J Prodger, Page 222. $385

4839 AUST POST WW2 NAVAL RATINGS HAT. White top and drawstring liner, both with heavy soiling. Sweatband removed. Chin- strap present. Tally band with "Naval Reserve Cadet" present. Grade III+ $85

4840 AUST 1950'S NAVAL RATINGS HAT. NAMED TO F.E. BARDEN. White top with heavy soiling. No tally band. Heavy mothing around felt band. Drawstring liner. Framl Edwin Barden enlisted in the Royal Australian Navy at HMAS "Cerberus" on the 8th May, 1950. Discharged 17th September, 1953. Grade III+ $85

4841 AUST MODERN 1991 DATED SLOUCH HAT. Used By R.S.N., C.P.O. Badge to front with navy blue puggaree. Size 57cm. Couple of small moth nips. Grade II-. $120

4842 AUST KOREA SIGNIFICANT SQUADRON SIGNED RAAF SLOUCH HAT. 1952 DATED. Hat made by "Fayrefield, Melbourne. Numerous minor moth nips. Hat virtually new, unissued. Large Size 7 1/4 Carr Aust. Type button - up side with R.A.A.F. Puggaree and side colour patch (Vertical stripes) small enamel Badge to front (sewn on) with ink printed "Big Zee" (Badge of a red numeral 3 over a Sword/Sabre). 20 signatures in ink to upper brim of hat and the few that we could decipher all belonged to 77 Squadron R.A.A.F No.77 Fighter Sqd. were stationed in Japan as part of B.C.O.F. when Korean War started and served with distinction in 1950 & again in 1953. Some of the Signatures are Sqd. Ldr. Ross Glassop DFC & BAR; Flt.Lt. John Rose; Pilot Officer William Simmonds and many others. Sqn. flew Mustangs and later Meteors. A significant R.A.A.F. Historical item. With some basic research. Definately worthy of further Enquiry. Grade II- $950

4843 AUST WW2 1940 RAAF SLOUCH HAT - FEMALE - RAAF POLICE. Named with basic Nom. Roll Research. Oxy RAAF badge on single khaki Puggaree. No chinstrap. 3-4 small moth nips to under- side of brim otherwise a very striking looking hat and very scarce. Size 7 1/8 (57cms). Grade II- $600

4844 AUST WW2 R.A.A.F. STYLE SLOUCH HAT. Unstitched brim. 4 eye- lets on either side of dome. Missing the leather liner. Numerous small eyelets under the 6 fold khaki Puggaree. Large size (at least 7 1/2) 60/62cm. No mothing to upper & only a couple of moth grazes under brim. No Badge has been fixed to the hat. Country style bash, but could be an unissued specimen. Nice addition to Australian WW2 Pacific Collection. Grade II- $450

4845 AUST WW2 RAAF STYLE SLOUCH HAT. EXCELLENT CONDITION. Item with leather internal liner dated 1944. Made By. N.121. Size 6 7/8. Double row of 4 eyelets to dome with 12 other eyelets around lower dome area. (These have a blue shoelace threaded through & ties in a bow as an unofficial Pugaree) Carraust. Side clip. No badges affixed. Grade II+ $525

4866 AUST WW2 MILITARY STYLE CIVIL DEFENCE STEEL HELMET. Black painted helmet with O/A heavy wear to paintwork. Faint white painted "W" (Warden) to front. Original black oilskin liner. Has an original chinstrap, but newer than helmet. Grade II- $100

4867 AUST/GB WW2 Model 1938 Mk1 Air Raid Wardens Steel helmet. Still retains nearly 100% of it's black painted finish sten cilled white "W" (Warden) to front and back. Good liner and has chinstrap. Grade II- $250*

4868 BULGARIA WW2 STEEL HELMET. Has original leather liner and chinstrap. Post War repaint of a light green. Grade II- $295

4869 BULGARIAN CIVIL DEFENCE, GERMAN THREE PIECE LUFTSCHUTZ HELMET. Smooth apple green finish with large Bulgarian National Shield to right side. (90%present).Leather liner (now dry). Chinstrap incomplete. Liner only secured in two positions and loose. Unusual variant Luftschutz Helmet. Grade II-. $385

4870 CZECHOSLAVAKIA MODEL 1953 STEEL HELMET. Copy of Russian Helmet with Helmet liner (similar to German M.31) Comes complete with leather chinstrap and overall good condition with minimal paint loss. Named in Liner. Size 57. Grade II. $125

4871 FRANCE WW1 SCARCE MEDICAL CORPS MIG ADRIAN STEEL HELMET. Shell only, no liner. 80% of the horizon blue paint remaining. Has Medical Corps Badge on front. Has original chinstrap but very worn. One rivet replaced and one missing on comb. Grade III+ $350

4872 FRANCE WW1 CASQUE ADRIAN. Remnants of blue/grey paint (30% ) Artillery Badge to front. Missing one of the rivets holding the comb in place. Light surface rust. Missing liner and only a small portion of the liner remains. Stamped Size 55. 2 small indentations to either side. Grade II-. $350

4873 FRA WW1 STYLE M15 STEEL HELMET "CASQUE ADRIANE". Fairly nice throughout with 6 tongue liner and chin strap (damaged and misshapen). Standard "RF" Flaming Bomb Badge to front. (Republique Francais). Grade II- $525

4874 FRANCE WW1 Mod. 1916 Adrian Steel helmet. Horizon Blue colour (90%). Liner present but well worn and torn in places. No chinstrap. Infantry flaming bomb badge to front. Grade II- $360

4875 FRANCE WW1 "Casque Adriane" style M15 steel helmet. Retains nearly 100% of it's original dark grey painted finish. Infantry "RF" Flaming Bomb Insignia to front. Dark brown seven tongue leather liner in G/C, but one small tear and stitching undone on rear seam, leather still quite pliable. Still has original brown leather chinstrap. Few dents, mainly to L/S of helmet, still a choice example. Grade II $450

4876 FRANCE 1915 'CASQUE ADRIENNE' WW2 ISSUE. Black leather and felt liner. With service use to chinstrap. No front badge. Grade II- O/a paint 90% $150

4877 FRANCE WW2: EARLY PATT ADRIAN HELMET. Original green finish with minor surface rust. Has dent to top LHS. Early liner and chin strap. Missing front badge. Still a good example of an early Adrian Patt helmet. O/a surface rust Grade II- $125

4878 FRANCE WW2 M26 ADRIAN PATT STEEL HELMET. Green painted finish with age and service wear. No badge. Very worn liner. Has chinstrap but damaged at one end. Grade III+ $85

4879 GB HELMET MK II ROYAL ARMOURED CORPS, WW2 (1945), steel with stainless steel rim, MK II liner with quick release lift a dot American style snap fastener. Rough paint finish (60%) with white paint dots throughout. Chinstrap has left side buckle missing. O/a Grade II- $150

4880 GB 1940 DATED ARMY TANKERS HELMET RAC, has Signals adapted head cover attached Size 6 1/2. O/a a lovely example. Grade II. $250

4882 GB WW2 AIRBORNE TROOPS HELMET MK II. Steel helmet with fibre rim. Has had some sort of Unit markings to front and rear, now worn along with the original O/D painted finish. Has original padded lining by "BMB", 1942 dated. Has web Chinstrap arrangement. Heavy soiling to liner. Now hard to find. Grade III+. $850

4883 GB WW2 STEEL COMBAT HELMET. All paint now missing from exterior of Helmet, khaki-green paint still to interior. Few dents to front & rear of shell. Worn oil cloth liner with tears. MKII chinstrap attachment clips, one stamped "1940", the other "1941". Short length of original chin- strap. C/W replacement chinstrap (original, new old-stock). Grade III+ $75

4884 GB/AUST WW2 M38 MARK II STEEL COMBAT HELMET. Very dark green paint to exterior of Shell with light surface rust. Has brown camouflage netting attached. Black oil cloth liner with some wear. Mint chinstrap. Grade II-. $165

4885 GB WW2 1940 DATED MKII STEEL HELMET. Post War repaint in Desert Tan. 8th Army. Great for Re enactor or Display. Size 7 Liner (VGC) and good chinstrap. Repainted inside & out. No dents or scratches below painted surface. Grade II- $100

4886 GB MK IV. HELMET (TURTLE SHELL) 1945. Raw edge type By. BMB. 1953 dated. Lift the dot type oilcloth liner and green elastic chinstrap. Grade II- $125

4887 GB WW2 Style MkII Steel helmet. Late-post war production for issue to Belgian troops after WW2. Good condition with post war repaint. Oilcloth liner similar to WW2, Post war European style chinstrap. Grade II- $130

4888 GB MK III "Turtle Shell" steel helmet with rolled edge. 1952 dated oil cloth liner and elastic type chinstrap. Grade II- $125

4889 GB PARA HELMET WW2 CLOTH COVERED SORBO RUBBER 2ND TYPE, Due to deterioration the rubber has been removed and replaced with foam padding, still good for display. Soiled and some small tears. Grade III+ $425

4890 GB WW2 Model 1938 MK2 Steel helmet. Black painted finish with white lettering to front and rear. "R.P/R" (Repair Party/Road) White number "101" to one side. Khaki painted interior and dated 1938. Liner with split to rear section. Original chinstrap. Grade II- $325*

4891 GB WW2 Mod.38 MK II Steel helmet. Painted medium blue colour with painted "Police" and painted Sergeant's cheverons. Various parts of the paint have chipped away due to service wear and tear. Still a very nice display item. Grade II- $275*

4892 GB/AUST WW2 Mod.38 Mk 1 Air raid Wardens steel helmet. White painted finsh now with o/a light rust speckling. Black stencilled " W" to front and back. Clean supple black liner has chinstrap. Grade II- $250*

4893 GB WW2 Civil Defence (NFS) Steel Helemt. National Fire Service. Same as an army MK II steel helmt with usual khaki finish, oil-cloth liner and web chinstrap. Has K/c NFS decal to front and another decal below "17". Has name and service number painted in white to underunderside of flare. Scarce Grade II- $250*

4894 GERM WW1 M16 STEEL HELMET. Greyish-green finish to Helmet shows heavy wear with only small areas remaining. Steel liner band. 2 x brown leather pads remaining, showing wear & age. One partially torn along liner band. (Small section of corrosion to liner band at this point). Stamped "BW 377" inside dome. Ink stampings to front section of liner band, "64, FCB, 18". RHS steel chinstrap lug remaining, No chin- strap. Helmet shell with no dents. Grade II- $650

4895 GERMANY WW2 M42 STEEL HELMET. Late War, no decal type. Comes complete with M31 liner in poor condition. (One tongue missing/cut out and other tongues have sustained tear damage, however has period drawstring thread through lower tongue holes to make the liner space smaller). The Helmet is a "C.K.L.G.G" with a 58-59cm liner so it could have been issued to someone with a smaller head, hence the modificat- ion of the drawstring. Outer paint is a very dark green, (Almost black) and is 90% present. Inside is a colour similar to apple green with heavy age patina. Split pins look tight and show an even amount of wear as the rest of the helmet. Scarce larger size. Grade II-. $875

4896 GERM WW2 BATTLEFIELD RELIC. Double decal M35 helmet. Remnants of apple green paint and of tri-colour decal only. No liner. Rust to exterior and interior. Ground dug. Ex Lithuania find. A very solid helmet, great example for a relic display. Grade II for a Relic. $250
