4970 FRANCE WW2 COLONIAL FORCES NCO'S UNIFORM. Khaki Cotton four pocket Tunic with brass colonial buttons and gilt bullion Emb on black detachable collar Badges (Insignia of the Colonial Forces). Khaki Drill Trousers, (Jodphers), Black Kepi with burnt red piping, black leather peak and chin- strap with colonial gilt Anchor Badge and side buttons. Brown leather belt with rolling D/Claw buckle, brown leather leggings and a small brown leather rectangular shaped instrument or map case (missing securing strap). These forces largely made up of Vichy Forces in the Mediteranian during WW2 including actions against Australians in Syria. Large moth area to lower front. Also c/w black period neck tie. O/a Grade II- $350 4975 GERMAN WW2 RAD Officer's Tunic and Trousers. Woolen Earth Brown Coloured tunic with a dark brown collar. Seven pebbled alum. buttons to front closure. Two brass sets of hooks and eyelets for front closure of collar with further pockets with straight edged buttoned flaps and two concealed lower pockets with slanted buttoned flaps. All pocket buttons are silver pebbled alum. As are the two buttons on the pleated rear. French cuffs to both sleeves. Hand-embroidered Alum. wire collar patches on black velvet underlay. Detachable shoulder boards of Alum. Wire with black "chevrons" on a black velvet underlay for rank of Feldmeister. Nice reed woolen multi-piece swastika armband to upper left sleeve. Imperial two place ribbon bar for the EK2 and Hindenburg Cross with swords, positioned above the left pocket with further provision for two awards on the pocket itself. Brown rayon lining to interior with the majority of the maker's label remaining to the back of collar. Has lower left interior pocket and striped lining to the sleeves. In line with the left armpit, from the collar to the hem, a strip of lining has been cut out for some unknown reason, but fortunately does not detract from the outward appearance of the tunic. The matching pair of Officer's earth brown trousers have a dark brown stripe down each outer seam. Two side pockets, fob pocket and one rear pocket. Four brown bakelite buttons to fly and hat belt loops plus provision for braces. Partial grey-green rayon lining to interior of waistline. Tunic and trousers show some areas of wear/moth damage which appear to have been professionaly repaired. The tunic certainly displays well on a mannequin. Grade II- $450 4977 JAPAN C/1930-40s ARMY WARRANT OFFICERS FULL DRESS UNIFORM, Cap & medals, tunic & trousers have yellow facings & piping for Artillery, gilt chrysanthemum buttons & bullion collar, Dress peak cap (Kepi) with full feather plume, this & the hat still in box of issue, 4 x medals - Order of the Rising Sun 8th Class, 1914-20 War Medal, China Incident War medal 1937 & Red Cross members medal Wartime, with rosette, all in cases of issue but these with wear/scuffing. Also a pair of WO Dres sbullion epaulettes in steel case of issue, minor o/a wear & moth nips to uniform, a very nice display item. $1800 4978 SOUTH AFRICAN WW2 Ariforce Pilot's S/O Uniform and Peaked Cap. Khaki Green four pocket Tunic with all K/C Brass RAF Buttons. Rank of Lieutenant. Opposing K/C Collar badges. K/C Embroidered South African Pilots wings. Unfortunately a very large hole to the R/H Breast pocket which could be repaired by using a piece from the inside of the Tunic. C/W a lovely example of the Officer's Khaki S/A Peaked Cap. With S/A Gilt Side Buttons, Leather Chinstrap and K/C Gilt Hat Badge. No Moth or damage. O/A a scarce uniform and set of wings. Grade II-. $850* 4979 USA WW2 UNIFORM GROUP: Consists of Olive Green Tunic dated 1940 By. Benjamin Clothing Co. Complete with all brass buttons and Air Force HQ Shoulder Patch. Size 38 in Chest, short fitting; Trousers 1942 dated with a number of small moth holes. O/G, O/R's Peaked Cap with brass US Cap Badge. Hat has approx 15 small moth nips. The rest of the hat is in great condition. Size 6 7/8 and 'styled By. Lewis'. Also included is a hand knitted olive green neck scarf A light buff coloured neck tie, A O/G Garrison Cap (size 6 7/8) and 2 small moth holes to rear. As well there are two more shoulder patches. A well used one of "The 5th Air Force" and another "Air Force HQ, Washington". All comes complete in a small leatherette suitcase from the same serviceman. A number of spare large brass buttons are included (Greatcoat type?) collar insignia is for chemical branch of service. Interesting Uniform lot. Lovely tailored Summer light khaki four pocket tunic. AMF oxy buttons. Oxy rank for Brigadier (small size and missing one of the crowns) collar gorgettes 12 place ribbon bar including MC/Bar. 37 and 53 coronations Named to "Brig. Taylor 29/11/45" on tailors label. Comes with service dress belt. H.B. Taylor won the MC and Bar whilst as a Captain with the 19th Btn. During the first War serving in Egypt and France. A Brigadier during WW2 with the H/Q 22 Aust. Inf. Brigade. He was captured by the Japanese and P.O.W. Desirable Attributable item. Grade II+ $785 4985 AUST WW2 ARMY OFFICER'S WINTER SERVICE DRESS TUNIC. Four pocket with all AMF oxy buttons, Rising Sun Collars, titles and rank pips for Lieutenant. Two bar overseas service Cheveron and colour patches for AAOC 1st Aust. Corps. Comes with service dress belt. Named to VX82871 W.Nealy. Quite a few moth holes (small) to reverse that would not detract from a display. William Charles Nealy enlisted 27-7-1942. Disch. 27-3-1946. Nicely defined Captains Rank (Epaulettes show prev. cut outs for Lieutenant Rank), Bullion Wound stripe to lower left sleeve, pressed leather knot buttons look immaculate, both upper sleeves adorned with colour patches of the 26th Battalion, AIF. Both collar badges and "Australia shoulder titles further complement this delightful tunic, a "Must Have" for AIF Collectors. Shows signs of an extra piercing above collar badges indicating a change of angle or period replacement of badges. Very nicely tailored by "Peapes" Sydney. We believe the colour patches have been re-applied (ie - not period done). Grade II. $475 4987 AUST WWI 6th Light Horse Regiment Officer's winter S/D tunic. A lovely tailored four pocket tunic in a thick whipcord khaki wool. Has all oxy AMF buttons, nice large ones to front. The collar having a closing/securing strap under one lapel. Has WW1 type large oxy rank pips for Lieutenant, (Has been Captain at one stage (?)). Has "Australia" titles but has a tailored provision for either the "LH" type titles or the "Australia" ones. Original opposing colour patches sewn to both shoulders, now with a little fading and both with an original brass "A" indicating previous service at Gallipoli. Fully lined interior with money pocket. Not named or attributed. No moth or damage. Comes with officer's dark brown leather Sam Brown belt with double cross strap. 1917 dated pistol case and matching sword frog. K/C Brass rank badge for Warrant Officer 2nd Class to R/H/Cuff. Four bar overseas service chevron to R/H Cuff including red bar for 1914. Has Rising Sun collar badges and shoulder titles. Matching colour patches. Not named or dated. Some fading to Shoulder Areas where someone has displayed the tunic with Patt 08 Webbing. Has a large tear to front of the lower RHS pocket and 2 very large holes (possibly burns) to the rear on the bottom RHS. O/w a very hard to find tunic. No titles nor ever had. Has K/C oxy rank badge sewn to R/H Sleeve (replaced). Tailor made but no label. Shows lots of wear, soiling around collar and a few field repairs (one large one to the top R/H pocket). Colour patches removed. A hard to find pattern. A good example worn by a Lance Corporal attached to the Royal Artillery. The Tunic is of the standard pattern complete with brass General Serice buttons and to the left breast a Royal Artillery grenade collar badge. To each arm, a Lance Corporal's chevron and hand embroidered Anti Aircraft Command formation badge. To the cuffs, a Good Conduct chevron and five service chevrons. Complete with ATS brass titles and lanyard. Waist small, about 75cm. Nice Example.
