If we are to take a courageous stand, we should be sure that God is guiding us to take

conquer in our own strength. God uses such giants to build our faith. So let us trust in God to give us the courage and the power to overcome whatever obstacles we face

It is good to have courage without being foolhardy. When the Israelites realized their error in failing to follow God into the promised land, God told them they must return to the desert for forty years.
