Revelation 14:9-13. The Scripture teaches us that God’s law takes precedence over man’s law. See Acts 4:18-20. How is a missionary to apply these teachings It will depend upon the situation. If possible, the missionary will try to satisfy both the requirements of God’s law and man’s law. Jesus set an example by obeying man’s law and God’s law. Although by God’s law, Jesus was exempt from paying the temple tax, he chose to pay it to satisfy man’s laws. See Matthew 17:24-27. Jesus also exercised wisdom in avoiding entrapment by those who wanted to catch him disobeying either man’s laws or God’s laws. See Luke 20:19-26. So missionaries should use discretion, without disobeying God. When Jesus sent out the twelve Apostles to preach the Gospel, he said
