How to Study This Module
Memorizing Scripture is important in changing oneself for the better and in sharing truth with others. Students are encouraged to memorize key Scripture (Isaiah 53; Psalm 22:1,7-8,14-18). At the least, Students should be able to recognize the Scripture found in Psalm 22:1,7-8,14-18 and be able to cite it as coming from that chapter, and to be able to recognize Scripture from Isaiah 53. How to memorize Scripture Repeat a short phrase of averse repeatedly until it is memorized. Repeat the next short phrase of averse until it is memorized. Repeat the whole verse until it is memorized. Cite the Scripture Reference (Book, chapter, verses) before and after verbalizing Scripture. Review Scripture from memory periodically daily, then weekly, then monthly. It is helpful to review Scripture in various mediums-reading, writing, reciting. Know that the Old Testament was completed prior to the time of Christ, and why one can state this. Old Testament prophecy pointing to Christ is predictive in nature, not written after the fact. Know why one can trust the New Testament Scripture as it tells of Messianic Prophecy being fulfilled in Christ. Know that on the day he arose from the grave, Christ met with his disciples, and instructed them in Messianic Prophecy. Be able to cite the Book and chapter reference which tells of Christ's instructions (Luke 24). Know that the Hebrew word "Mashiah" means Anointed One. The Messiah was the Anointed One that would be the King of the Jews. Understand that those who were anointed were set apart for special service to God. Know why Jesus was Lord, and not a liar or a lunatic or a legend. Understand how to use Messianic Prophecy. It is not merely a tool for winning an argument. Learn the key points of this module who, what, how, when, where and why-as related to the Messiah. It is not necessary to memorize the Scripture under the main topics. Simply know the headings.
