P&C NEWS



A reminder that our P & C Meetings each month will be held at the Senior Campus Library at 7:00pm. Please note this is a time change from previous meetings.

Upcoming Meeting date & time:
P&C General Meeting – August 28th at 7:00pm

Everyone is welcome. Membership forms can be obtained from the Campus Office’s or you can contact us via email on pandcexecutive@capalabasc.eq.edu.au and we will send you one. Membership forms are also available at every P & C meeting.


 
FETE

We are now officially in Fete countdown with less than 3 weeks to go! This will be our biggest fundraiser for the year and we are very excited about bringing this event to the College families and the wider Community.

Preparations are in full swing and we are still seeking the support of other College parents/caregivers to assist us. Any extra help is greatly appreciated and will enable us to make the Fete the best day possible to showcase our College and its Students.

Classes are busy planning their stalls and will be seeking A Stall Convenor and volunteers to help man stalls on the day. If you can offer a small amount of time, please see the class teachers.  There will be a Meeting prior to the Fete which Convenors will be required to attend and a date for this will be communicated directly to the Convenors.



Now is the time to be letting us know you can assist. There are many ways in which you can help, whether it is Set up, Pack down, manning stalls, baking goods, seeking donations, allowing signage on your property and many others. If you can help please head to our signup link (http://signup.com/go/gRQUjAL) and choose a role and time slot. We are truly grateful for any help you can offer.

We are having a raffle just for Fete Volunteers. Every hour of time you give equates to one entry. The prizes will be alcoholic drinks and snacks. It is our way of saying thank you and the only way to obtain entries is to assist on the day or with other roles in the leadup.

We have our final Pre-love goods donation drop off day on Sunday 27th August from 9am-11am.

We are accepting any homewares, toys*, clothing, books, DVD’s, baby goods etc.


* At this stage we are not accepting stuffed toys as we have access to a large number of these already.
Drop off location is at the Senior Campus Metropolitan East building at the top of School Road. Look for the signs!

This Term we will continue seeking donations of drinks, lollies, chips, chocolates and prizes. We are Urgently seeking donations of canned drinks and 600ml water for our BBQ stall and will be running an incentive from now until Fete Day to assist with this. For every carton of drink/slab of water your family donates, you will gain one entry into a draw to will FOUR UNLIMITED RIDE ARMBANDS! So if you donate two cartons you get two entries. Please name cartons with family or child/ren’s name and Class so that we can track the donations!!!!

Donations can be dropped off at your child’s class or at either Campus office. All donations are greatly appreciated.

Ride armbands are now available for pre-order. To purchase online please visit our website www.capalabascfete.com.au and follow the links. Presale prices are $30 each or 3 or more in the same transaction are $25 each. This is a great saving as prices will increase to $40 each on Fete day with no bulk discounts. We will also be selling on school mornings in the lead up to the Fete. These dates and times will be communicated in the next week.

We would love some extra help in preparing for the Fete, manning the pre-loved goods donation drop off days and help on the day. You can offer as little or as much time as you choose. Please contact the committee if you can offer some assistance. enquiries@capalabascfete.com.au

All meetings are held in the P&C building off School Road, beside the Junior campus tennis courts.



CRAFT

This Term our Craft Committee will be holding their annual Father’s Day Stall. This stall will be held on Thursday August 31st & Friday September 1st from 8-9am and 2-3pm. If you can offer a small amount of time to assist, please contact Niki or Tina.

Our craft committee meets weekly on Tuesday & Friday 9am - 2pm in the P&C room. We welcome all new members and children are welcome to attend.
 
SECONDHAND UNIFORM SHOP

Huge Savings to be made - come and see us!

If your child/ren have out-grown any uniforms at home, we can sell them for you on consignment (conditions apply). Donations are welcome too.

Our shop is open every Friday 9am-2pm (closed last Friday of every month for stocktake).
