OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY

  • General Objective

This general objective it intends to explore challenges of case management in Somaliland high courts

  • Specific Objective

It has also the following specific objective:

  • To determine the level of procedural and nonprocedural case management in the courts

  • To find out the reliability of current case record system

  • To describe who is responsible the poor case management system in the courts

  • To study whether the judiciary in the country is striving to create an efficient and transparent judicial system that will ensure the prevalence of the rule of law.

    1. SCOPE OF THE STUDY

This general objective it intends to explore challenges of case management in Somaliland high courts What is current record system in courts, What are the consequences from poor case management in the courts through to achieve a fair justice and The judicial committee how they handle the case flow management

    1. THE LIMITATIONS OF THE STUDY

  • The skepticism of court staff about studies and interviews.

  • Many holidays in May of the year coincided with our study.

  • court chairmen refused to allow us to interview subordinates

  • The courts have been Busy with the parliamentary and local council elections in the country
