Black Female Subject (“Dreamchild”): Lane Tech

Exact Plan Text:

Thus our advocacy: My partner and I reject the resolution in favor of shedding the false political hope of the black.

ROB: Vote for the team the best effectuates change for the Black Female

Advantages/Harms (with explanation):
The Dreamchild is an affirmative that focuses on an embrace of the black female subject position. The poetics of the !AC permit the affa to access moments of insurrection within the unlivable afterlife of slavery.

Impacts:

Antiblackness: The affirmative is majorly pertaining to anti blackness present within the debate round. The invocation of poetry within the debate space allows for a conversation of anti blackness which is better than that of policy affirmatives. The anti blackness is silencing and discrimination within debate

Solvency Mechanisms:The poetry within the debate allows for an insurrection from the antiblack status quo. It's utterance is black, dispersing the whiteness in round.

Anti-blackness is encoded in the very fabric of American society and the Constitution – any attempt to work through the state only increases its power.

We must envision the black women as the only site of topical engagement. This is where we problematize the Dream Child. The dualistic functionality of blackness through its relation to the maternal and material modes of anti-black dispossession that’s engrained in the topic

Where we are forced to internalized forms of resentment is not produced through the self but instead through constant modes of instituionaled self hatred.

Specifically, U.S./China relations shows that ANTIBLACKNESS within America spills over to China as preconceived notions of Black people stemming from an historical lack of contact has created a homogenous umbrella of HEI-RENS. China’s coverage of the Baltimore Riots polarize cultural attitudes that refer to BLACK DEVILS who lack self-discipline and family values. This has created a paradox of the meaning to be black and American- you can’t mix dark and whites and still think you’re a human

The embrace of Black English permits future dream children to flourish

Black English allows for unique expression of abject bodies and evokes the truth within our society filled with lies

Imprinted on black folk are the hieroglyphics of the slave masters whip. Hence, black folk are inscribed with the screams and cries of their ancestors, and the Black English is an expression of those cries, of themselves.

Exact Plan Text: This year the resolution asks us to stand resolved that The United States federal government should substantially increase its economic and/or diplomatic engagement with the People’s Republic of China. Rather than engage in a hypothetical debate by roleplaying through the USFG, we have decided to use the debate sphere as a means to render white civil society incoherent. China doesn't know about the oppression of the black body, the engagement of China and it's ignorance perpetuates the idea of the black body even more because they only engage with white people. By focusing on the lost identities construed by white supremacy and make visible the global exportation of anti-black violence across the global sphere. It is the conversations and intellectual discussions that are had on the way that white supremacy has masked the true engagement of black body in the modern world.

The only way to solve is to burn down civil society.

Advantages/Harms (with explanation):

Anti-blackness perpetuates white supremacy, which is responsible for massive global violence and oppression that ensures dehumanization, social alienation, and fear. Highlighting the Black Identity is critical for a successful rebellion for all oppressed bodies, and anti-blackness is the root cause for all violence. Gratuitous violence against the black body is root cause of all violence within society. Ongoing genocide and structural violence against marginalized bodies has, and continues to kill more people than the imaginary overblown scenarios that is constantly used in debate which only whitewashes over and ignores this violence which allows it to continue.
Solvency/FW Mechanisms:

Although the world for Black People ended centuries ago, The only possible demand is one that calls for the end of the world itself—the affirmative represents a conflict within the paradigm of America but refuses to challenge the foundational antagonism that produces the violence that undergirds the same paradigm. It’s a rap in this modernity for the black subject. The only thing to do now is burn it all down it all must go

  1. Refusal to exploit the suffering of the Black Body, and a total rejection of resolution because deconstruction civil society is a prior question. By not breaking down civil society, it does not solve for anything which is why engaging with China does not solve gratuitous violence.

  2. Understand that the only way to solve for the black body is a rejection and destruction of civil society.

We must begin a dialogue and open a space to discuss how to overthrow civil society within this debate round. A Ballot for the affirmative is an affirmation of that space.

FRAMEWORK: Framework and typical policy structures exclude black bodies themselves and their attempt at communication. Roleplaying as USFG is oppressive and not effective. Fiat based model cedes the political destroys personal responsibility.
