Arromanches 360 Circular Cinema and Memorial

Open daily: 9:30 am to 7 pm; last show at 6:40 pm

Cost: €5 per person. Children, teachers, soldiers, students, disabled, and people over 60 receive a discount.

Combo tickets: Twin Ticket for €20.50 (includes entry to the Caen Memorial Museum you will visit tomorrow).

Note: The Twin Ticket saves €3.50 each (about $4), and also allows you to skip the ticket line at the Memorial Museum.



Have your taxi drop you off on the cliff above Arromanches for a panoramic view down to the beach. Contemplate what the landing forces faced.

Then visit the Arromanches 360 Circular Cinema and Memorial to watch the film that relives this episode in history, showing archived footage of actual battles. Learn the incredible story of how this artificial harbor was built.


Visit the Disembarkment Museum


Walk 5 minutes down the hill and along the sea front to visit the small but fascinating Musée du Débarquement.

Open daily: 9:00 am to 7:00 pm, May through August.

Cost: €7.90 per person.

This museum offers an engrossing collection of working models and dioramas, as well as archival film footage that brings to life the complex jigsaw puzzle of this dramatic harbor construction operation. Immerse yourself in learning about this strategic undertaking that was so key to the Allies’ success. The self-guided tour takes about 1 ¼ hours.
