Take a Café Break in the Vaugueux Quarter

Find yourself an outdoor table at O Chato (28 rue du Vaugueux. (0)2-31-94-35-70). This will be your chance to relax, decompress and absorb all that you have seen today. Or select another café or restaurant with outdoor tables, and find a seat outside.

Head Back to the Shopping Street, Rue St. Pierre

If some of the Caen shops you wanted to visit were closed when you walked along rue St. Pierre two days ago, or if you just ran out of time, take an hour or so now for more shopping before you head back to the train station.

If you would prefer, head back to Bayeux early to visit the Museum of the Battle of Normandy, the Museum of Art & History, or the Lace Museum, or to stop by one or two final shops in Bayeux. This will be your final evening in Bayeux, so you will know by now what you most want to do.

Catch the Tram, then the Train Back to Bayeux

Then take the Tram back to the station in time for your 15–20 minute train ride to Bayeux. You will be many train schedule options between 5:00pm and 6:00pm, including these:

Last Evening in Bayeux

Tonight will be your final evening in the sweet little town of Bayeux, your home for the past four days. You will have made reservations in advance at the restaurant of your choice, at: Le Conquerant (38–40 rue de Nesmond; (0)2-31-10-36-02) OR Le Volet qui Penche, along the river.

Enjoy yourself. Relax. Reflect on the many experiences you have had, as well as your responses to them. These few days have been intense and compelling, not soon to be forgotten.
