2.3. Administrative locations



Cameroon is divided into ten Regions, which are in turn subdivided into fifty two (52) Divisions and again into Sub-divisions. Yaoundé is the political capital while Douala, located on the coastline, is the main economic centre and the most populated city.

The administrative locations of the towns sampled in this study were selected from each of the ten (10) Regions and are indicated with their corresponding Agro-ecological zones in Table 1.
