  15. 1901 – 1904, circa. Florida (?). Portrait of Supreme Court Commissioner [temporary Justice] James F. Glenn [served 1901 to 1904]. Black and white 18 x 14 print mounted on heavy card stock. This is almost certainly the photograph used by Adrian Lamb to create the oil portrait of Commissioner Glenn.

  1. No date, circa 1938. Florida. Ledger book, small. Inscription on inside front cover: “Elwyn Thomas. / Numbers and letters / refer to forms. / Items in red are / persons to whom Miles Warren wrote.” Pages of the book are tabbed alphabetically. Names of persons, entered alphabetically in blue and black fountain pen ink and red pencil have numbers and geographical notations before and after each name. Sample: “8 Amos, Ernest (Milton) 2” in blue ink. Entire book is filled in. This book may have been used during Elwyn Thomas’s first election campaign for a seat on the Florida Supreme Court.

  2. 1938. Florida. Ledger book, medium. Inscription on front cover typed in all-caps on yellow paper and pasted to center of cover: “Judge Elwyn Thomas Second Primary / Campaign, 1938.” On page 1: “Petty Cash Record / Judge Elwyn Thomas Committee May 1938 pages 1 – 3 / Receipts – p. 5 / Disbursements – p. 10.” Starting on page 2, Dates in May 1938 are followed by names of entities, categories, and individuals, then by dollar amounts in 2 columns. Page 5 inscribed: “Receipts – Second Primary” in blue fountain pen ink, followed by names and entities in no order followed by dollar amounts in 1 column. Pages 9 and 10 are missing. Page 11 and 12 labeled “Receipts.” All other pages blank except 98, inscribed “A/C Payable.” with 5 entries, written in black dip pen ink.

Original embossed Supreme Court seal, engraved graphic title “Supreme Court of the State of Florida with an engraved state seal. 15 x 9-3/4. Document is now extremely brittle, fragile; should be scanned, then encapsulated.

  5. 1938, November 1. Florida, Tallahassee. Supreme Court. Certificate of appointment for Elwyn Thomas to the Supreme Court of Florida. Signed by Governor Fred Cone and Secretary of State R. A. Gray. Original seal of the State of Florida. 16 x 10.
