Main Menu
Upon log-in, you will be brought to the Main Menu. This is an example of the page you will see, but with your United Way’s information.

To Edit Contact Information

To edit contact information, from the Main Menu, click



Here you can edit all of your United Way’s GCWCC Contact information. Don’t forget to click to save your work!

Introductory Notes:





  1. You DO NOT report the federal service retirees numbers at any point when entering results. These results will be entered by the GCWCC national office at the end of the campaign.



  1. Once all your data-entering is completed for each department, remember to click at the bottom of the screen! It is very important to save any and all information entered or changes made, since if the system is left inactive for any longer than approximately 30 minutes, the application will time-out. A pop-up will notify you of this prior to timing out.




  1. Don’t forget to (available at the top right-hand corner of all screens) whenever you are not entering data, or you are away from your computer!

Section 3: REPORT FINAL CAMPAGN RESULTS
At the end of the campaign, local United Ways are required to compile all department and agency results and submit final numbers via the GCWCC National Online Reporting Tool (NORT) by January 31. If errors are identified, the GCWCC national office will ask for clarification.
This data will then be compiled automatically to produce the GCWCC National Results Book (available online via NORT once all data has been checked and confirmed by the GCWCC national office). This is a key document for accountability of the GCWCC to the Treasury Board, and your participation is essential to the completion of this report. These annual results are also useful in terms of planning for next year’s campaign.

To report the National Results for the current campaign year
From the Main Menu click . The following screen will then appear.
You will notice that reporting the national results is to be completed in three steps.

To edit the National Results for the current year, from the Final Campaign Results Menu, click .
From the screen that appears, please select the Current Campaign Year.

The following screen will then appear. Please note that if some information appears (department, # employees, # donors, goal), this is because verbal data may have been reported by the department in your area. If there has been no verbal data entered to date, the page will be blank.

To add a new department


Important Note: When adding a new department, make sure it does NOT exist already. Duplicate departments will result in loss of data.
Click , and a new screen will appear.


Select the department you would like to add from the drop-down menu. For a complete list of Departments and Agencies, including sub-sectors, please see Appendix 1: Departments and Agencies.

This department is now ready to have data entered.

To enter data (update data) for a department


From the main page of departments, click next to the name of the department to which you would like to add/change data

The data set for that department will then open in a new page.
You are now able to update/change data for this specific department.
