POLICY
Facilities for the Radiation Oncology Physics Residency Program are provided by the Tom Baker Cancer Centre and the University of Calgary.

Each resident has a desk and work area in the medical physics department. Residents also have their own desktop computer with access to the local area network and the internet.

The Department of Medical Physics has a small library with holdings mainly of medical physics related text books and reports. The Tom Baker Cancer Centre has its own library and contains mainly more medically oriented texts and journals. The Faculty of Medicine and the main University of Calgary both have extensive holdings which are easily accessible by residents. An efficient system exists for ordering books and articles not held in local collections.

The Tom Baker Cancer Centre is a fully equipped tertiary cancer treatment facility. Equipment and programs include:

Four R.T. Equipment Services Specialists staff an electronics shop with the full range of test and diagnostic equipment. The machine shop is staffed by two Machinists and includes a full range of equipment.
